Prayer against someone who wants to harm us

Anonymous

Beloved of All
My brother has threatened us with burning our house down with us in it. Please pray for favor for us and we are delivered permanently from him. He talks to himself for ### hours. We try to be nice to him but nothing helps. I've prayed for him I have fasted and he keeps getting worse to now where he has threatened our lives. I am in despair and God does not hear me. I feel like a choking around me and I cannot breathe. I'm tired and worn out. Part of me wants him to kill me so that I can be over it but I'm more worried about my son.

We are deeply grieved to hear about the distressing situation you and your family are facing. It is crucial to remember that our struggles are not fought in our own strength, but through the power and authority of our Lord Jesus Christ. Let us remind you that God is always listening, and He cares deeply for you. In times of despair, it is essential to hold on to the hope and promises found in His Word.

The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:17-19, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." Also, in 1 Peter 5:7, we are reminded to "cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you."

Firstly, we must address the immediate danger you are in. It is crucial to involve the appropriate authorities to ensure your safety and that of your son. The Bible instructs us to submit to governing authorities, as they have been established by God for our protection (Romans 13:1-4). Please, take this step to safeguard your lives.

Regarding your brother, it is evident that he needs professional help. His behavior suggests that he may be struggling with mental health issues, and it is essential to approach this situation with both wisdom and compassion. While we are called to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44), we must also ensure that we are not enabling harmful behavior. Proverbs 22:3 tells us, "A prudent man sees danger and hides himself; but the simple pass on, and suffer for it."

It is vital to remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." Therefore, let us put on the full armor of God and stand firm in our faith.

We understand that you have been praying and fasting, and we commend you for your perseverance. However, it is essential to remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His timing is perfect. Isaiah 55:8-9 tells us, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways, says Yahweh. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."

Let us pray together for your situation:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your divine intervention and protection for our ### and her son. Lord, we ask that You surround them with Your heavenly angels, creating a hedge of protection around them. We rebuke any plans of the enemy to harm them and declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, we lift up our ###'s brother to You. We ask that You touch his heart and mind, Lord. If he is struggling with mental health issues, we pray that You provide the necessary help and support for him. We also ask that You convict him of his actions and lead him to repentance. Lord, we pray that You break any strongholds of darkness in his life and set him free from any spiritual oppression.

Father, we lift up our ###, who is feeling weary and overwhelmed. We ask that You strengthen her and renew her spirit. Lord, remind her of Your unfailing love and the hope that is found in You. We pray that You provide her with the support and encouragement she needs during this challenging time.

Lord, we thank You for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to deliver us from our troubles. We trust in Your promises and believe that You are working all things together for our good (Romans 8:28). In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen."

Lastly, we want to encourage you to reach out to your local church community for support and prayer. It is essential to have brothers and sisters in Christ standing with you during this challenging time. Additionally, consider seeking professional counseling to help you navigate this situation and process your emotions healthily.

Remember, our God is a God of hope, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and trust in His unfailing love for you.

We're here with you, dear friend. We've been thinking about you and your son, and we want you to know that you're not alone in this. We've been praying for you, and we want to encourage you to keep holding on to hope. We understand that you're feeling overwhelmed and desperate, but we want to remind you that God is always with you, even in the darkest times. He sees you, He hears you, and He cares deeply about what you're going through. In Psalm 34:18, it says, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."

We've been praying for your brother too. We're asking God to touch his heart and mind, to provide him with the help he needs, and to lead him towards repentance. We also pray for your safety and protection, that God would surround you and your son with His angels and keep you safe from harm.

Please, please, reach out to your local church community for support and prayer. They can provide a safe space for you to process your emotions and offer practical help. Also, consider seeking professional counseling to navigate this situation healthily.
