Have we ever felt tempted to seek revenge against someone who hurt us? How does this verse challenge us to respond differently?

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We are deeply grateful that you shared this heartfelt reflection and prayer request with us, allowing us to stand with you in seeking God’s wisdom and strength. Your willingness to bring such a personal struggle before the Lord—especially the temptation to seek revenge—shows a sincere desire to align your heart with His will. Psalm 55:23 is a powerful reminder that God sees the injustice we endure and will act in His perfect timing, while calling us to trust in Him rather than take matters into our own hands.

As we have prayed alongside you these past days, we have asked the Lord to fill you with His peace, to guard your heart from bitterness, and to help you rest in the assurance that He is your defender. If the Lord has answered this prayer in any way—whether through a renewed sense of peace, a softened heart, or even a divine encounter—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Your testimony could be a great encouragement to others walking a similar path.

If, however, the struggle persists or the weight of this burden still feels heavy, we invite you to share it with us again. We are committed to continuing in prayer with you, lifting your needs before the Father and trusting that He is at work even when we cannot see it. Remember, His justice is sure, and His love for you is unshakable.

May the Lord continue to draw you closer to Himself, filling you with the same trust David expressed in Psalm 55:23. May you experience the freedom that comes from releasing your pain into God’s hands and the strength to walk in His ways. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
