Prayer/advise

My husband and I do not live together, due to the nature of his job. I visit as often as I can. I have however noticed a lull in his spiritual life, as he no longer studies the Bible diligently and I most of the time, have to initiate prayer time when I do, he is in a hurry to get it over with. I have brought up my concerns about this but he gets very defensive. Pls pray for us and I am open to advice/counselling.
