We lift you up together before the throne of grace and join with you in bringing each of these burdens to our Heavenly Father.
We notice your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to God and assurance of salvation. Jesus said, John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Scripture tells us Acts 4:12 There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for Romans 10:9 tells us that is how we are saved. It is in His name we pray and are heard.
We bring your relationship before the Lord. We pray that whatever relationship you are referring to would be centered on Christ and aligned with biblical principles. We believe marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman ordained by God, as Genesis 2:24 says a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh. We pray that if this is a romantic relationship, it would be a courtship with the goal of godly marriage to a fellow believer, not simply a partnership or dating without purpose. We pray you both would honor God with purity, for 1 Corinthians 6:18 says Flee sexual immorality, and Hebrews 13:4 says Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled. If you are both believers, we pray God will grow you in love, patience and selflessness, and if you are unequally yoked we pray for wisdom, for 2 Corinthians 6:14 warns not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers. We ask God to make His will clear for this relationship and to lead you both toward holiness.
We also bring your work and finances before the Lord. We understand the pressure of bills and the desire to provide gifts at Christmas. We pray God will provide for your needs according to His riches, as Philippians 4:19 promises My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. We pray He will bless the work of your hands and open doors of opportunity, remembering Colossians 3:23 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. We encourage you to seek first His Kingdom, for Matthew 6:33 says But seek first Gods Kingdom, and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. We pray for wisdom in stewardship, contentment, and trust that God cares about every bill and every need, and that Christmas would be centered on Christ more than presents, remembering the greatest gift is Jesus Himself.
We pray for your physical need, your headache, and for the feeling of being overwhelmed with all you need to get done. Our God is our healer, for Exodus 15:26 says I am Yahweh who heals you, and we take comfort that He cares about our bodies and our weariness. Jesus invites us in Matthew 11:28 Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. We pray the Lord will touch your body, ease your pain, grant you strength and clarity, and help you to rest in Him. When we feel anxious about many tasks, Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We pray Proverbs 16:3 over you, Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed, and that you would cast all your worries on Him, because 1 Peter 5:7 says He cares for you.
We pray together, Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we lift up this dear one to You. Lord, we ask You to have Your perfect will in this relationship, that it would honor You, be pure, and be directed toward godly marriage if it is of You. Give wisdom and discernment and draw both hearts closer to You. Provide for work and daily needs, open doors for provision, help with every bill, and give peace regarding Christmas and all material concerns, keeping Christ at the center. Touch and heal this headache, bring rest to the body, calm the mind, and give strength and order to accomplish what needs to be done according to Your priorities. Fill this heart with Your peace that passes all understanding and remind them that You are near and You care. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
