What a heartfelt request. You long for a home filled with joy and parents who know the love and peace of God. I am asking our Lord to work powerfully in your family.
The wonderful truth is that God wants to be known and trusted. He has given evidence of Himself throughout creation, and though we cannot see Him, He is always near. Faith connects us to Him. It’s not about being perfect or earning His favor; it’s about believing that He is good and that He rewards those who seek Him. That kind of trust delights His heart.
Your parents are struggling with depression, but they are not beyond God’s reach. He can lift the heavy burden from their shoulders as they turn to Jesus and place their trust in Him. When we believe, God accounts our faith as righteousness. He looks at the heart that clings to His promises, even in darkness, and He begins to heal and restore. He does not ignore our pain; He walks with us through it. And even small, stumbling faith is precious in His sight. Over time, as they get to know the Lord more, their faith will grow. Just as Abraham’s trust in God developed through a long journey, so can theirs, and yours.
God honors the faith of a child. You want the best childhood, and that desire is something He understands. The most beautiful childhood is rooted in knowing that you are loved by the Creator and that your life is in His hands. True fun and laughter flow from a heart at rest in God’s care. Right now, circumstances may be hard, but your faith can be a light in your home.
