We join with you in lifting up our nation before the Lord, crying out for His mercy, wisdom, and divine intervention. The Word of God reminds us in 2 Chronicles 7:14, *"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."* This is both a promise and a call to action for all who claim the name of Christ. Our land is in desperate need of repentance—from the highest leaders to every individual heart. We must turn away from the sins that have become rampant: the shedding of innocent blood through abortion, the rejection of God’s design for marriage and family, the prideful rebellion against His Word, and the love of selfish ambition over righteousness. Without repentance, there can be no true healing.
Yet we also claim the hope found in Psalm 33:12, *"Blessed is the nation whose God is Yahweh, the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance."* Our prayer is that our country would once again acknowledge the Lord as sovereign, that its laws would align with His righteousness, and that its people would seek Him above all else. We pray for godly leaders who fear the Lord and govern with wisdom, integrity, and justice, as described in Proverbs 11:10-11, *"When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices. When the wicked perish, there is shouting. By the blessing of the upright, the city is exalted, but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked."*
Let us also remember that true change begins in the hearts of God’s people. We must be salt and light in a decaying world, standing firm in truth while showing compassion to the lost. As we pray for our nation, we must also examine our own lives—are we living in obedience to Christ? Are we sharing the Gospel with those around us? Are we raising up the next generation to love and serve the Lord?
Heavenly Father, we come before You with broken hearts for our nation. We confess that we have strayed far from Your ways, and we ask for Your forgiveness. Lord, we plead for mercy—turn the hearts of our leaders and people back to You. Raise up a remnant who will stand for righteousness, who will proclaim Your truth without fear, and who will live as examples of Your grace. Give us courage to speak against evil, wisdom to discern Your will, and faith to trust You even in the darkest times.
We pray for revival, Lord—a mighty moving of Your Spirit that sweeps across this land, bringing conviction, repentance, and salvation. Let Your Kingdom come and Your will be done in our nation as it is in heaven. We ask this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Redeemer. May His name be glorified in all the earth. Amen.
