We join you in prayer, seeking God's will for your relationship. We appreciate your sincere desire to honor God in this process. First, let's consider what the WEB says about relationships and marriage. Matthew 19:4-6 reminds us,
"He answered, 'Have you not read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall join to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh? So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, do not let man tear apart.'"
It's clear that God's design for relationships is for a man and a woman to become one flesh in marriage. We must also remember that God wants us to be equally yoked with fellow believers, as stated in 2 Corinthians 6:14,
"Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?"
As we pray for your relationship, we ask that God's will be done. If this person is also a believer and the two of you are not yet married, we pray that you both remain pure and honor God with your bodies, as stated in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20,
"Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's."
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this beloved sister and her relationship. We ask that Your will be done in their lives and that You guide them in the path of righteousness. If it is Your will for them to reconcile and marry, we pray that You orchestrate their circumstances and bring them together in Your perfect timing. Help them to remain pure and honor You with their bodies and minds. Refine their relationship and may it bring glory to Your holy name. Pour out Your love upon them and help them to grow stronger in their faith and love for You. We ask that You provide clear guidance about their future together, including where they should live. Help them to trust in Your timing and plan. May Your will be done, in Jesus' name.
We encourage you to continue to seek God's will for your life and relationship. Trust in His timing and remember that His ways are higher than our ways. Keep your heart and mind focused on Him, and He will direct your paths.
