Pray this prayer for my mother she is always full of anger she needs deliverance

Elodie

Humble Servant of All
Lord Jesus Christ, I bring to you my mother's anger, frustration, and the hurts that trouble her. Help her to be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry. Keep her words and actions from cruelty. When pride or a desire for the last word rises up, teach her humility. Send your Holy Spirit into the places where bitterness has settled, and replace her wrath with your peace, gentleness, and love. I am asking this prayer in the name of Jesus. Amen.

The Christian Mother
A mother’s faithfulness in work, wisdom, and devotion shapes her child’s character and eternal destiny.
We join you in bringing your mother before the Lord and we thank you for interceding for her with such love and faith, praying in the precious name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And there is no other name by which we can be saved as we are told in Acts 4:12.

We agree with the beautiful prayer you have prayed over her and we stand with you for her deliverance, for anger that is not surrendered to God can take root as bitterness and give place to the enemy. Scripture warns us in James 1:19-20, So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger, for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God. And again in Ephesians 4:26-27, Be angry, and do not sin. Do not let the sun go down on your wrath, neither give place to the devil.

Much anger comes from hurts that have settled in the heart, from pride, from unmet expectations, or from wounds that have not been forgiven. The Lord wants to heal those deep places and replace wrath with His peace. We are told in Ephesians 4:31-32, Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. Only the Holy Spirit can produce that change, for the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control in Galatians 5:22-23.

We pray together for her now.

Father in heaven, we lift up this dear mother to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You see her anger, her frustration, and every hurt that troubles her heart. We ask You to send Your Holy Spirit into the places where bitterness has settled and where wounds have not healed. Soften her heart, Lord, and teach her to be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry. Keep her words and actions from cruelty, and when pride or the desire for the last word rises up, teach her humility and gentleness. Replace her wrath with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and fill her with love, patience, and self-control. Deliver her from any foothold the enemy has gained through anger and set her free to walk in forgiveness as You have forgiven us in Christ. Help her to speak with a gentle answer that turns away wrath as taught in Proverbs 15:1. We also pray for the one who intercedes for her, that You would give continued love, honor, and patience as commanded in Exodus 20:12 and Ephesians 6:2, and the grace to not be provoked but to respond with kindness and prayer. Let Your healing and reconciliation flow in this family for Your glory. We ask all of this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray faithfully for her, to show her honor and gentle love even when her anger is difficult, and to speak truth with grace. Continue to point her to Christ and to the forgiveness we all need, and trust that God who hears your prayer is able to transform her heart day by day.

We appreciate you sharing this burden about your mother. Loving someone who lives with quick anger can leave you feeling tense, hurt and helpless, and it says a lot that you are turning to Jesus for her instead of holding it alone.

We have learned that anger often signals something deeper underneath, like old hurt, ongoing frustration or fear, and when those hurts are held onto they can harden into bitterness that weighs heavily on the person carrying it and on those nearby. Understanding that does not excuse harsh words, but it can help us pray with more compassion and keep our own hearts soft.

One steady next step that helps many families is to keep your prayer simple and consistent and to choose one calm response ahead of time. When her anger rises, give yourself permission to pause, breathe and pray silently before you answer, aiming to listen more than to win the moment. You are not responsible for changing her, but you can remain faithful in love and prayer and, if she is ever open, gently encourage her to talk with a trusted pastor or counselor.

Father, we lift this dear mother to You. You see the hurts and frustrations behind her anger and the places where bitterness has settled. Pour Your peace and gentleness into her heart by Your Holy Spirit, teach her to be quick to listen and slow to speak, and guard her words from cruelty. Comfort and strengthen her child as they continue to love her and pray. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer for your mother is heard with thankfulness, for it asks for that which God delights to give. To be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry is the very wisdom of God, and to ask that wrath might be replaced with peace, gentleness and love is to ask for the true fruit of the Spirit.

We will join you in bringing her before the throne of grace. Deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin, and where we look for justification there must we also look for sanctification. As it is written, He has delivered us from the power of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of His dear Son. What we cannot work in ourselves by striving, He can work by His own hand. We may therefore pray with confidence that He who has found a ransom will make that deliverance effectual.

There is a bitterness which God uses to sanctify us, and when the soul has tasted its own bitterness over sin, Christ becomes very sweet and the world loses its charms. One gracious effect of that holy bitterness is to take away all bitterness against our fellow men. Pray then that the Lord will give your mother such a sight of Christ that harshness is softened and the heart is made tender toward others.

And there is a peace which the blood of Jesus whispers within. It is written, You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. This is not a peace that cries peace, peace where there is no peace, but a peace which is a blessing, peace from lips that cannot lie, peace through the blood which has made a full atonement. May the Lord keep her mind stayed upon Christ, that she may know that perfect peace even while duties press and sorrows surge round.

Let us pray together.

Lord Jesus Christ, we bring to You this dear mother with her anger and frustration and the hurts that have settled into bitterness. You see the places where wrath has taken root and where words have wounded. We ask that You would do what only You can do. Send Your Holy Spirit into those troubled places and replace wrath with Your peace, gentleness and love. Teach her to be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry. Keep her words and actions from cruelty. When pride or a desire for the last word rises up, clothe her with humility. Cause her to moderate all anger and to know herself accepted in the Beloved, justified by faith, and at peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Make Christ sweet to her soul, that bitterness against others may be taken away and that she may bear fruit as a tree planted by the rivers of water. We ask this in Your name and for Your glory. Amen.
