Pray that I don't have any STDs

We hear your deep concern and fear, and we join you in bringing this before our Heavenly Father with hearts full of compassion and faith. The anxiety you feel is understandable, but we want to gently remind you that healing and peace come from God alone, and it is through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to His mercy and grace.

First, let us address the root of this fear. The Bible is clear that sexual intimacy is a sacred gift from God, designed to be enjoyed within the bounds of marriage between one man and one woman. Any sexual activity outside of this covenant, whether it be premarital sex, adultery, or other forms of immorality, opens the door to consequences, both physical and spiritual. Scripture warns us in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 (WEB), "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."

If there has been sexual sin in your past, we encourage you to confess it before the Lord, repent with a sincere heart, and seek His forgiveness. 1 John 1:9 (WEB) assures us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." God’s forgiveness is complete, and His grace is sufficient to restore you. However, repentance also means turning away from sin and walking in obedience to His Word. If you are currently in a relationship that is not honoring to God, such as one involving premarital sex or an unbiblical union, we urge you to seek godly counsel and realign your life with His will.

Now, let us pray together for your healing and peace:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one who is burdened with fear and anxiety over their health. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and nothing is too difficult for You. We ask that You would bring complete healing to their body, mind, and spirit. If there is any infection or disease present, we declare Your power to cleanse and restore. We stand on Your promise in Psalm 103:2-3 (WEB), "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases."

Father, we also ask that You would bring peace to their heart. Calm their fears and replace anxiety with trust in Your sovereignty. Help them to cast all their cares upon You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). If there has been sin in their life, we pray that You would lead them to true repentance and restoration. Wash them clean by the blood of Jesus and renew their spirit. Guide them into a life that honors You in every way, including their relationships and choices.

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of fear or condemnation that may be trying to take hold. We declare that perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18), and Your love for this child is perfect and unchanging. Strengthen their faith and help them to walk in the freedom and victory that is theirs through Christ Jesus.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment as they seek medical advice and care. Give them clarity and peace as they navigate this situation. Surround them with godly support, friends, family, or mentors who can encourage them in their faith and hold them accountable to Your Word.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would use this time to draw them closer to You. May they experience Your presence in a deeper way and grow in their relationship with You. Help them to trust in Your goodness, even in the midst of uncertainty.

We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and healed. Amen.

In addition to prayer, we encourage you to take practical steps to address your health concerns. Seek out a trusted medical professional for testing and guidance. God often works through the wisdom and skills He has given to others, so do not hesitate to pursue medical care while trusting in His healing power.

We also want to gently encourage you to examine your heart and life in light of God’s Word. If there are areas where you have strayed from His design for relationships and sexuality, now is the time to turn back to Him. God’s commands are not meant to restrict us but to protect us and lead us into abundant life. Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB) reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

You are not alone in this journey. The Lord is with you, and we stand with you in faith, believing that He is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith, and walk in the freedom and healing He has provided.

We hear the anxiety behind your words, and we’re standing with you in this. Fear of the unknown can feel overwhelming, especially when it touches something as personal as our health. You’ve already done the most important thing by turning toward God and asking for prayer, that’s an act of faith, and it matters.

Sometimes a fear like this grows louder the more we sit alone with it. One concrete step that often brings peace is to pair prayer with action: if you’re concerned you may have been exposed or are noticing symptoms, please talk to a doctor or visit a clinic for testing. Knowing what you’re actually dealing with can lift a weight off your shoulders, and it doesn’t mean your trust in God is weak, it’s simply caring for the body He gave you.

We’ve seen how much it helps just to know you aren’t carrying this alone. Right now, we’re praying with you, asking God to settle your spirit and quiet the racing thoughts. Whether the result is total healing, a clear test, or guidance on a healthy path forward, He is with you in it.

Lord Jesus, we bring this person before You, fearful, brave, and hoping for Your touch. You know their body completely, every hidden place. We ask for Your healing presence: if there is any infection, remove it; if there is only fear, replace it with Your peace. Give them clarity about next steps and the courage to take them. Hold them steady in Your love, no matter what. In Your name, Amen.

Your prayer reaches the throne of grace, and the Lord Jesus, the great Physician, has healing in His wings. Yet, consider this: the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and even the least things about Christ are full of healing virtue. You fear a bodily ill, and rightly you cry out for mercy. But the deeper malady is the wound of sin, and the same Hand that can touch your flesh can cleanse your soul. Pardon and healing are twin blessings; when Jesus healed the palsied man, He first said, “Your sins are forgiven you.” Seek not only to be delivered from the consequence of transgression but to be washed from its guilt. If your past has been contrary to the pure law of God, confess it now, and flee to the fountain opened for sin and uncleanness. There is healing beneath the wings of the Sun of Righteousness for all who turn to Him with broken hearts.

The power of the Lord is present to heal. Have confidence in the Divine Healer, whose balm has lost none of its ancient efficacy. Yet remember that healing often walks hand in hand with teaching; as He taught, Christ healed. Listen, then, to His Word, and let it search your heart. True faith is always obedient. If you would have His touch upon your body, bow your will to His commands. Chastity is no trifle; the leaves of His common blessings are healing only to those who walk in His fear. Do not merely ask to escape the earthly sting of sin while clinging to its cause. Come to Him that He may make you whole in body and in spirit, and then rise up to serve Him in purity, as Peter’s wife’s mother did when the fever left her.

I bear witness that the Lord still does strange things among us. Be not like those who perish through hardness of heart, seeing years pass without grace. May the Divine fiat go forth tonight: “Be you clean.” My prayer for you is that you find not only a quieted conscience about this present dread but a new heart, a right spirit, and a life henceforth adorned with the healing leaves of holiness. If you will trust Him, He will not cast out your prayer. God bless you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

How can you pray to be healed of a disease while clinging to the sin that invites such wounds? You cry out about the body, but what of the soul, which lies defiled? The harlots entered the Kingdom not by remaining harlots, but by being purified and converted. If you truly desire cleansing, then flee from the acts that make you fear. It is a grievous thing to honor the body's health more than God's law, to dread a sore but not the fire of hell. That very fear, if it leads you to repentance, can be a mercy. A soul anxious about judgment is slow to sin. But if you only wish to escape the consequence while loving the cause, your prayer is not faith but cowardice.

Do not imagine that purity consists in scrupulously avoiding this or that defilement while your heart remains unchanged. The truly pure are bold, not because they are reckless, but because they have been washed inwardly. The uncleanness you should dread is the stain on the soul, which no physician can cure. Let the fear you feel now drive you not to a shallow plea for bodily comfort, but to a thorough conversion. Remember the earth that drinks in the rain yet brings forth only thorns when the sun rises. Have you not heard the word again and again, only to let the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of pleasure choke it?

Yet do not despair. The Lord's yoke is easy and His burden light. If you turn from your sin with a hatred for what defiles, and approach His table with awe, you will find rest. That same Body which broke the gates of brass and loosed the dead can heal your wounds, both seen and unseen. But you must first count the cost, for He calls you to suffer the loss of sinful desires, to bear His name before a mocking world. This is the true healing: not a mere removal of symptoms, but the death of the old man and the birth of a pure heart. Let your fear be not of herpes, but of offending the God who made you. Then your prayer will not be for escape alone, but for mercy, and you will rise whole.
