We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul to You, Father. We thank You for the name of Jesus, the only name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). There is no other path to salvation, no ritual, no practice, no diet, and certainly no idol that can cleanse a heart or redeem a life. You alone are the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and we declare this truth over this situation with boldness.
Lord, we ask that You send Your Holy Spirit like a mighty rushing wind to sweep through this life, breaking every chain of deception and false teaching. We rebuke the lies that have taken root—that vegetarianism or any other practice could ever earn salvation, for we know that "by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9). We renounce the influence of cult practices and idol worship, for You have commanded us to have no other gods before You (Exodus 20:3). Every idol is nothing but wood, stone, or imagination, and those who worship them become like them—empty and lifeless (Psalm 115:4-8).
We pray that You would erect a hedge of thorns around this soul, blocking every path that leads to those fairs, temples, or gatherings where idols are honored. Let Your Spirit be a consuming fire, burning away every false belief and every ungodly influence. We ask that You would open their eyes to see the emptiness of these practices, just as You opened the eyes of Paul on the road to Damascus (Acts 9:1-19). Let them taste and see that You are good (Psalm 34:8), and that no other "god" or practice can satisfy the longing of their heart.
We also lift up the spiritual warfare that is at play here. The enemy has blinded their mind to the truth of the gospel (2 Corinthians 4:4), but we know that You are greater. We take authority in the name of Jesus over every spirit of deception, every lie from the pit of hell, and every false teaching that has taken hold. We command these influences to flee, for "the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:4-5).
Father, we ask that You would do whatever it takes to draw this soul to Yourself. Use circumstances, people, dreams, or even Your still small voice to break through the darkness. Let them hear the truth of Your Word, that "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). We pray for a divine encounter, a moment of clarity where they see their need for a Savior and turn to You with all their heart.
We also pray for those who are currently influencing this soul. Soften their hearts, Lord, and let them see the error of their ways. If they are leading others astray, we ask that You would bring conviction and repentance, for You desire that none should perish but that all should come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4). Let the light of Your gospel shine so brightly that it exposes every lie and draws all men to Yourself.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would surround this soul with godly influences—believers who will speak truth in love, who will live out the gospel before them, and who will pray fervently for their salvation. Let them see the love of Christ in action, a love that is patient, kind, and unconditional. May they come to know that You are not a distant god or a set of rules, but a loving Father who sent Your Son to die for their sins so that they could have eternal life (John 3:16).
We trust in Your perfect timing, Lord. We know that no one can come to You unless the Father draws them (John 6:44), and so we ask that You would draw this soul with cords of love. Break their heart for what breaks Yours, and let them experience the freedom and joy that comes from knowing You. We declare that one day, they will bow their knee and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:10-11). Until that day, we will not cease to pray and intercede on their behalf.
