Pray that all wars are de-escalated and ended, with no nuclear weapons used

Father, please calm the flames of war. There are several countries which seem to be considering using a nuclear weapon! Please de-escalate this, and protect all the world from any nuclear war. Please calm all disputes and please end the wars. Please protect our farmers and their crops and protect the food supply for all of the world. Father, there are many signs which point to the Last Days. Help us not to fear, and not to waste time. Help us to spend our time and resources GETTING PREPARED. Please provide guidance as to how to get prepared. Please wake people up and wake up churches who are not paying attention to the signs all around them. In Jesus' name, Amen.

We join you together in prayer before our Father in Jesus' name for the de-escalation of wars and for His mercy to restrain the use of nuclear weapons, and we thank you for bringing this burden before the Lord with such care for the world and for His people.

We are reminded that God remains sovereign over the nations even when the flames of war rise. Psalm 46:9 tells us He makes wars cease to the end of the earth. He breaks the bow, and shatters the spear. He burns the chariots in the fire. And Proverbs 21:1 assures us The king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires. We take comfort that no leader, no army, and no weapon is beyond His power to restrain. We also pray as 1 Timothy 2:1-2 exhorts us, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence.

The Lord Jesus warned us of these very days when He said in Matthew 24:6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you aren't troubled, for all this must happen, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom in Matthew 24:7. These signs are not meant to drive us to fear but to wakefulness and trust. John 14:27 gives us His promise, Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don't let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful. And 2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.

We also lift up our farmers and the food supply with you. The Lord is the one who waters the earth and provides bread for all, and we ask Him to protect the crops, the livestock, and those who labor to bring forth food. Psalm 104:14 says He causes the grass to grow for the livestock, and plants for man to cultivate, that he may produce food out of the earth. We pray for favorable weather, for protection from destruction and contamination, and for wisdom for nations to steward resources justly.

You are right to desire to be prepared and to not waste time. Scripture calls us to redeem the time because the days are evil in Ephesians 5:16 and to watch carefully how we walk, not as unwise, but as wise in Ephesians 5:15. True preparation begins spiritually, being ready for the coming of our Lord. Matthew 24:42 says Watch therefore, for you don't know in what hour your Lord comes, and Matthew 24:44 Therefore also be ready, for in an hour that you don't expect, the Son of Man will come. We encourage being prepared by abiding in Christ, confessing sin, sharing the gospel while there is time, being in fellowship and in the Word, and also by being good stewards practically, providing for our households and helping our neighbors as the Lord leads, with calm wisdom and not with panic. Romans 13:11 tells us now is the time to wake up from sleep, for now is salvation nearer to us than when we first believed.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and our only access to Your throne. Lord, calm the flames of war that are raging. We ask You to restrain the hands that would use nuclear weapons and to turn the hearts of rulers toward restraint, negotiation, and peace. De-escalate these conflicts, frustrate evil plans, and protect innocent lives in every nation. Guard the world from nuclear war and from the devastation it would bring. We ask You to end these wars according to Your mercy and to bring justice and order where there is chaos. Protect our farmers, bless their crops and their labors, and preserve the food supply for all people. Give wisdom to those who govern and comfort to those who suffer. Help us not to fear, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but fill us with Your peace that surpasses understanding as in Philippians 4:7. Help us to redeem the time, to wake up and to wake up our churches that have been sleeping, to watch and be ready for Your return, to proclaim Your gospel boldly, and to use our time and resources faithfully for Your glory. Guide each of us how to be prepared spiritually and practically, and let us be found faithful when You come. We ask all this in the saving name of Jesus, Amen.

We are praying with you in this heavy burden for peace. We hear your love for the world in how you named so many concerns at once, the threat of war and nuclear weapons, the farmers and food supply, and the desire to use your time well and not live in fear.

It is understandable to feel overwhelmed when the news is full of conflict and talk of last days. That weight can make it hard to know where to focus, and we appreciate that you want to turn that concern into faithful preparation rather than panic.

One gentle step that has helped others carrying similar worries is to bring the big picture back to faithful presence where you are. Consider choosing one or two trusted people in your church to pray with regularly about these global needs, and ask your pastor how your congregation is thinking about wise, calm stewardship of time and resources. Stepping back from constant news updates can also help keep your heart steadier to pray and serve clearly each day.

Father, we bring the wars before You and ask for Your mercy to de-escalate conflict and restrain the use of terrible weapons. Protect those in harm's way, watch over farmers and the food so many depend on, and give wisdom to leaders. Quiet fear in our hearts and help us to live faithfully today, awake and attentive to what You are calling us to do. Guide Your church to be alert and hopeful. In Jesus' name, Amen.

We have heard your earnest prayer and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace concerning these dark and direful signs of the times, when the earth seems deluged with strife and the vials of wrath threaten to be poured out.

We entreat the Lord with you that He would in His mercy calm the flames of war and restrain the hands that would wield such terrible weapons. It belongs to God alone to set bounds to the rage of men, and He who stills the tempest with a word can de-escalate the counsels of nations and keep back that dread destruction which would consume so many. We pray that He will in His providence protect the fields and the husbandmen, and preserve the food supply for the sustenance of all, for every good harvest is from His hand.

You have asked rightly that we should not fear with a slavish fear and that we should not waste time. Hear how plentifully the word Fear not grows in God's garden. The angel said Fear not, as though the times of fear were over and the days of hope had arrived, not for shepherds only but for all to whom the glad tidings come. The Lord Himself whispers to His people fallen as dead at His feet, Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed for I am your God, Fear not for I will help you. This is not a call to cast away the filial fear of the Lord, which is the beginning of wisdom and is holy reverence and awe, but to be delivered from the tormenting dread of man. Fear not him that can kill the body and after that hath no more that he can do, but fear Him who is able to cast both body and soul into hell. If we have much fear of God we shall have strong confidence and shall have nothing else to fear.

You ask how to get prepared and how to redeem the time while many sleep. Take pattern from Noah who by faith being warned of God of things not seen as yet moved with fear and prepared an ark. Faith was the living principle but fear was the moving power, not a servile fear as a culprit fears a judge, but a holy fear which put wings upon his heels to fly to obedience. So let preparation be first in the heart and in the life. Be found in Christ through forgiveness of sin, for where forgiveness is enjoyed it becomes the motive to true fear of God. Labor to get rid as much as possible of unbelieving fear by trusting in promised strength, for fear is weakening and dishonors God, as though the arm which piled the heavens could be palsied. Then let obedience be the gracious fruit. There must be no slumbering, rest, ease or surrender. Watch and pray, know your Bible, keep your house in order by repentance and faith, walk in holiness, and spend your time and resources in that war which the church must never cease to wage, war with error and deceit and sin, and yet to have war with war itself by having bitterness in your heart against no man that lives.

We pray that the Lord will wake up many who are not paying attention, and stir His churches that have fallen into sleep, that they may turn over the Books of Scripture not as a mere end in itself but that the truth of God may be to the front and the name of Jesus high over all. May He grant to you and to all His people that His own Fear not may go home to the heart, that you may be kept from trembling and cowardice, and be made diligent to serve Him while it is called today.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ our only hope, calm the nations, restrain the evil that would bring desolation, preserve the land and its fruit, cast out slavish fear by perfect love, and make us ready to meet our Lord, whether He come soon or whether we are called to Him. Grant us grace to be found faithful, watching and working till He comes. Amen.
