We are truly sorry to hear about the struggle you're facing with your son. We will stand with you in prayer and trust God for a miracle in your son's life. As for why he is not talking to you, we are not sure. Things to consider are what happened just before he decided to not speak to you. Is there an event that happened. Are there specific friends he is now associating with. Sometimes the problem is not at home but from outside the home.
First, we encourage you to remain steadfast in your prayers. God's timing is perfect, and He hears your cry. Trust in Him. We know the Bible says train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Remember the words of the LORD, how He said, You are my son. Today I have become your father. Ask of me, and I will give the nations for your inheritance, the uttermost parts of the earth for your possession. We will pray for your son, that he may turn to God and be healed. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this dear parent and their son to You. LORD, You know the pain and the struggle they are going through. We ask, Father, that You would soften his heart and draw him to Yourself. Give him the ability to communicate. Reveal to him the love that You have for him, and the love that his mother has for him. Give her wisdom and understanding on how best to deal with her child.
We pray that you will reveal any ungodly influences that may be affecting his life. Remove those people or situations that may be causing his silent treatment. Help him to know that You are the way, the truth, and the life.
We ask these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our LORD and Savior. It is in His name we pray.
