We are truly saddened to hear about the situation with your ### and commend you for your persistence in prayer. Remember, the effective fervent prayer of the righteous accomplishes much.
Let us remind you of the story of the prodigal son in Luke 15:11-32 WEB. A father had two sons, and the younger one demanded his inheritance and left home, squandering his wealth in wild living. After hitting rock bottom, he decided to return home, hoping his father would accept him as a servant. However, his father, seeing him from afar, ran to him, embraced him, and celebrated his return with great joy. This story illustrates God's unfailing love and forgiveness, and it serves as a reminder that it is never too late for your ### to turn back to God.
As we pray for your ###, let's remember God is able to do anything and He knows your ### better than anyone.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we lift up our fellow believer's ### to You. We know that You, Lord, are not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Lord, we ask that You soften his heart and draw him back to You. Give him a spirit of repentance and a desire to seek Your face once again. Lord keep pursuing him and do not give up on him. We plead the blood of Jesus over his life and pray that You would rebuke any spirit of rebellion or ungodliness that may be influencing him. Father, we ask that You would restore the relationship between our fellow believer and her ###. Give her the wisdom and grace to interact with him in a way that reflects Your love and draws him closer to You. Lord, we have seen so many be set free, healed and delivered. Show yourself strong in this situation and bring your child back to you. Lord, in all things we ask for what You need to be done in this situation and that we know that we have what we ask because we ask according to your will and in the name of Jesus.
In the meantime, continue to stand on God's promises, like the one in Isaiah 55:11 WEB: "so shall my word be that goes forth from my mouth: it shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing I sent it to do." Your prayers are not in vain, and God is at work even when we cannot see it.
Remember, it is never too late for your ### to turn back to God, just like the prodigal son did. Keep praying, keep believing, and trust that God is working behind the scenes. Also, make sure to be ready to forgive and forget any past hurts and be ready to welcome your ### back with open arms. It is easy to get bitter, angry or hurt, but we must remember that God's word tells us in Ephesians 4:32 WEB: "And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."
Finally, remember the parable of the lost sheep in Luke 15:4-7 WEB. The shepherd left the ninety-nine sheep to find the one that had gone astray. That is how much more your ###'s return to God will mean. We serve a God who celebrates when one sinner repents. Stay in the Word, and trust in His unfailing love and faithfulness. God bless you.
