I ordered my father a wonderful gift from Etsy. It was supposed to come today so I spent all day checking notifications. Long after the regular delivery time for our mail, I got a notification my package was delivered in either my mailbox or in the mail room. I was already highly aggravated with this because all parcel deliveries are supposed to be to our doors. Anyway, I rushed downstairs. No package. Father's Day is the 15th so this is a catastrophe. I spent seventy dollars on my dad's gift. If it was stolen or not actually delivered to begin with, I can not afford to replace it. If another resident picked up my package by mistake, please pray in Jesus's name that they either give it to me or turn it in at the office. Also my friend told me that it's possible the post office mistakenly said it was delivered, but in actuality it was not. This has happened to her, and she has gotten the item on the following day. If that's what happened here, then please pray in Jesus's name that I get my dad's present tomorrow. My heart is SICK over this. The post office used to be great. Years ago, our postman was so wonderful, I used to tip him on Christmas and Easter and bake for him. Now all they do is mess up. This past year the USPS cost me three hundred dollars. I'm not kidding. Example of the incompetence: I didn't get a Christmas present ordered well in advance of this holiday by out-of-state relatives until two weeks into the new year. I also ended up charged a bunch of late fees because I was dumb enough to think that over a week before due date was plenty of time for a bill payment to arrive to one state over from where I live. All in all, I am sick and tired of dealing with the incompetence and the LAZINESS. I mean, what part of, "Deliver packages to the residents' doors" don't these delivery people understand? Both the post office and Amazon are ridiculous in this regard. [My immediate situation is also part of a broader issue, like the fact that EVERYTHING inevitably turns into a costly, protracted ordeal, often involving getting massively ripped off.] But back to point: Besides the above, please pray in Jesus's name that the powers-that-be DO SOMETHING about the USPS. I think they should privatize it. USPS is a failing operation that is hemorrhaging money and is no longer providing timely or efficient service. I'm not saying fire the good employees that work hard. I'm saying privatize it and make them compete with other carriers. That would drive costs down and make them do a better job. This being said, my final prayer request in Jesus's name is a blessing on all my incoming mail and packages. You can't even GET alot of things in stores anymore. You're forced to on-line shop, especially somebody like me who doesn't have a car. Thank you for praying.

We understand your frustration and anxiety over the delayed delivery of your father's gift. Let's bring your concerns to God in prayer. First, we need to understand that God is in control of all things. Even the most mundane things as mail delivery. This reminds me of various verses of the Bible:

Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB
"Don't be anxious for anything" Philippians 4:6 WEB
"Casting all your worries on him because he cares for you." I Peter 5:7 WEB

We need to trust in God with this issue. He knows what is going on, nothing is a surprise to Him. We also need to not be anxious about it. God is in control. Cast your cares upon Him because He cares for you. We need to remember that even if your father does not get the gift tomorrow, God is in control. We should not get mad at the situation or the people involved in the situation but should rest knowing God is working all things out for our good.

We need to pray for God's will in this situation. There are several options. Your father could get the gift on time, or someone may have the gift and give it to you or turn it into the office. Or the gift has not been delivered at all and your father may get the gift the next day. Or even your father may not receive the gift because God has something better planned for him. Let's pray for these issues and God to give you peace and comfort during this trial.

Let's pray.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up our sister in Christ who is anxious about the delivery of her father's gift. We pray that Your will be done in this situation. If it is Your will, let the gift be delivered on time, or let it be found and returned if someone else has it or even let it be delivered tomorrow. We praise You that You are in control of all things and know that You can turn this situation around for Your Glory.

Lord, we also pray for the USPS. We ask that You guide those in authority to make wise decisions regarding its management. We pray for the employees, that they may be honest and diligent in their work. We ask that You bless all incoming mail and packages, and that You would protect them from theft or loss. We pray that You would provide a way for our sister to receive all that she needs, even if it's not through the means she expects like the mail.

Father, we also pray for our sister's heart. We ask that You help her release her bitterness and frustration and that You will give her Your peace from the situation. We pray that You will help her to trust in You and Your timing. Help her to remember that You can work all things together for good. We praise You that You are our provider and that You care for us.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to trust in God and His timing. Remember that He is in control and that He cares for you. We also encourage you to release your bitterness and frustration and to forgive those who have wronged you.

Oh, dear sister, we're right there with you, feeling your frustration and anxiety. We understand how much this gift means to you and your dad. Let's lift this up together in prayer, shall we?

First, let's remember who's in control. It's not the post office, nor Amazon, but our Heavenly Father. He sees you, He knows your heart, and He cares. "Casting all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7).

Now, let's pray. "Dear Lord, we come to You today, laying this situation at Your feet. We trust that You see the situation, and we trust that You have a plan. We ask that You would intervene, either by delivering the package on time, or by working in the hearts of those who might have it, or even by revealing if it was never delivered at all. But most importantly, Lord, we ask that You would give our ### peace. Help her to trust in Your timing, and to know that You are working all things together for her good.

Lord, we also pray for the USPS. We ask that You would guide them, that they would be honest and diligent in their work. We pray for all the mail and packages, that they would be protected and delivered safely.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Let's keep trusting together, sister. God's got this.

Thank you for praying 🙏. I have done a lot of forgiving in my life. I truly have. I'm not the only person being deeply affected by the problems with the post office or deliveries. A while back, I got somebody else's prescription drugs in my mail box and had to deliver them to the other tenant. Found out from my friend that the current postal person is constantly on his or her cell phone the whole time they're putting the mail in the slots. That's why all these mistakes. With Amazon, these are all elderly and disabled people living here. Some of them are in wheelchairs. Some have chronic health conditions. Very difficult for them to make it downstairs and then have to run around trying to figure out where Amazon decided to dump their packages. One time, I even wound up delivering canned food to a person in this building who needs to use a walker to get around. He was practically crying. He has very little money and could have gone hungry if I didn't help. So, yes, I understand I should forgive -- but if I find out that USPS messed up my dad's delivery, I will put in a formal complaint. And as far as this kid who wants to talk on the phone and sort mail at the same time, I think he or she should just get fired. PERIOD. The bottom line is this: I would be much more forgiving if these incidents did not happen with such frequency and if I thought that my complaints would lead to any kind of improvement. I think my "bitterness" stems from the same reasons. This is not the country I grew up in. When we went to work, we always gave it 1,000%. For example, I averaged about ten hours a week in unpaid overtime [take-home work] when I was a teacher. I cared deeply about my students. Now no matter which aspect of life it involves, I am bumping up against people who just plain old do not want to do their jobs and do not care who they end up hurting because of it. I'm in a constant state of shell-shock because the change is just so jarring.

Let's pray our Heavenly Father reminds this woman the greatest gift for your earthly father is time and love. In Jesus name we pray. Amen
Thank you for praying. I do give him time and love. I cook for him. I wanted him to have this present 🎁 very badly. One of my serious problems with this is it cost seventy bucks. If this gift does not get delivered and I can't get my money back from the post office -- which I doubt I can -- I lost that money and can't afford to re-purchase it PLUS I have to come up with more money to give my daddy a Father's Day present of some kind. This happened to me with an Advent item I bought last year. The post office claimed they made one delivery attempt then returned it to the sender. The sender said they never received the item back. That one cost me around seventy dollars too. Anyway, my father is ### years old. That's why I spent so much money on this beautiful gift. When my mom got sick, I spent a small fortune on gorgeous flowers for her during the last four years of her life. I'm not saying my dad is sick, but these gifts are very, very special to me. It hurts to think this could be messed up. It hurts so much.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
