I ordered my father a wonderful gift from Etsy. It was supposed to come today so I spent all day checking notifications. Long after the regular delivery time for our mail, I got a notification my package was delivered in either my mailbox or in the mail room. I was already highly aggravated with this because all parcel deliveries are supposed to be to our doors. Anyway, I rushed downstairs. No package. Father's Day is the 15th so this is a catastrophe. I spent seventy dollars on my dad's gift. If it was stolen or not actually delivered to begin with, I can not afford to replace it. If another resident picked up my package by mistake, please pray in Jesus's name that they either give it to me or turn it in at the office. Also my friend told me that it's possible the post office mistakenly said it was delivered, but in actuality it was not. This has happened to her, and she has gotten the item on the following day. If that's what happened here, then please pray in Jesus's name that I get my dad's present tomorrow. My heart is SICK over this. The post office used to be great. Years ago, our postman was so wonderful, I used to tip him on Christmas and Easter and bake for him. Now all they do is mess up. This past year the USPS cost me three hundred dollars. I'm not kidding. Example of the incompetence: I didn't get a Christmas present ordered well in advance of this holiday by out-of-state relatives until two weeks into the new year. I also ended up charged a bunch of late fees because I was dumb enough to think that over a week before due date was plenty of time for a bill payment to arrive to one state over from where I live. All in all, I am sick and tired of dealing with the incompetence and the LAZINESS. I mean, what part of, "Deliver packages to the residents' doors" don't these delivery people understand? Both the post office and Amazon are ridiculous in this regard. [My immediate situation is also part of a broader issue, like the fact that EVERYTHING inevitably turns into a costly, protracted ordeal, often involving getting massively ripped off.] But back to point: Besides the above, please pray in Jesus's name that the powers-that-be DO SOMETHING about the USPS. I think they should privatize it. USPS is a failing operation that is hemorrhaging money and is no longer providing timely or efficient service. I'm not saying fire the good employees that work hard. I'm saying privatize it and make them compete with other carriers. That would drive costs down and make them do a better job. This being said, my final prayer request in Jesus's name is a blessing on all my incoming mail and packages. You can't even GET alot of things in stores anymore. You're forced to on-line shop, especially somebody like me who doesn't have a car. Thank you for praying.
