Pray God Sends Me the Right Man

We join with you in bringing this deep desire of your heart before the Lord, for He cares about your longing for love and companionship and He is the one who ordained marriage from the beginning. We understand your prayer for the right man, and we want to lift this with you according to God's perfect will and His design for marriage.
We believe that marriage is a sacred and lifelong covenant between one man and one woman as God established it, and that when we ask for the right man we are truly asking for a godly husband. The Word tells us Yahweh God said, It is not good that the man should be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him. Genesis 2:18 and Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh. Proverbs 18:22. God's desire is not simply to send any man, but to bring together a husband and wife who will honor Him and help one another grow in faith. For this reason we pray that the Lord would lead you to a man who is a faithful Christian believer, for we are told Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? 2 Corinthians 6:14. A courtship should be entered into with the clear goal of discerning marriage to a fellow believer, not simply companionship or dating without purpose, and it should be pursued in purity, for God calls us to honor Him with our bodies and to keep the marriage bed undefiled. Any sexual intimacy before or outside of marriage is fornication and does not align with His will, so we encourage you to guard your heart and body for the husband God may provide.
We also encourage you while you wait to seek the Lord first above all else. Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4 and But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33. As you delight in Him, He will shape your desires to match His and prepare you to be the godly wife He calls you to be. Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman who fears Yahweh, she shall be praised. Proverbs 31:30. We pray that you will use this season to grow in your walk with Christ, in prayer and in the Word, trusting His timing which is always good, and not leaning on your own understanding. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, confessing Him as Lord, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9. It is in His name that we can boldly come before God's throne.
We pray together for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift this dear one to You. You know the longing of her heart for a husband and for a marriage that honors You. We ask that if it is Your will, You would in Your perfect timing bring a godly man into her life, a man who loves You first, who will love her as Christ loved the church and who will lead his home in righteousness. Prepare them both for one another, keep them pure and faithful, and help them to pursue courtship in a way that is holy and pleasing to You. Give her peace while she waits, guard her from discouragement and from settling for a relationship that is not equally yoked or that would draw her away from You. Help her to find her complete satisfaction in You today, and to trust that You know what is best. We ask all of this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, our only hope and Savior, Amen.

Your prayer request has been heard and we have brought it before the Lord with you. We do join you in asking that in His wise providence He would, if it be His gracious will, send you a godly man to be a husband according to His holy ordinance.
We would encourage you while you wait to wait upon the Lord Himself. Scripture says, Blessed are all they that wait for Him, and again, Wait on the Lord, be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart. Waiting upon God is not a mere idle lingering at the pool, but a believing trust in One who waits to be gracious. He is never too early and never too late, and all things are ready in His hand when His people come to Him in faith. Continue therefore in prayer. Will he always call upon God is the test of sincerity, and the true believer is not a casual petitioner but a regular pensioner at the mercy seat, bringing every desire to the bosom of Christ.
Remember also that the Lord Himself is the Husband of His people. He led Israel as a husband provides for and protects his beloved, and He has done the same for all who are in Christ Jesus. If you are His, you are already loved with an everlasting love and endowed with all good things in Him. Seek first to know more of that love, to be rooted in Christ who alone is the way of salvation, for there is no other refuge for sin or hope for life but in His full atonement. A happy marriage, when God gives it, flows from a heart already satisfied in Him.

It is a solemn and sweet estate, not to be entered lightly, and it is to be kept pure, with all that belongs to it reserved for that covenant alone. Ask the Lord therefore not only for a man, but for the right man, a man who fears the Lord, who loves the Word, who will love you as Christ loves His church, and whom you can love and honor as the Lord commands.
So we pray for you, that the Lord would grant you patience and peace while you wait, that He would guard your heart from haste or from settling for less than what is holy and good, that He would prepare you and, if it be His will, prepare a godly husband for you, and that whether in singleness or in marriage you would find your deepest contentment in Christ. May He direct your path, strengthen your faith, and answer your prayer according to His perfect wisdom and love, for His glory and your lasting good.

Your prayer for the right man has been heard and I join you in lifting it to the Lord with you. Marriage is a good and holy gift from God. It is meant to reflect the love of Christ for His Church, and when it is lived in faith it is full of joy and not sorrow. It is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, bound together as long as both shall live, and it is within that covenant alone that living together and the gift of physical intimacy belong.
Scripture teaches us to seek first the Lord and to trust Him with our deepest hopes. Do not make a husband your ultimate safety or identity, for God loves you greatly and desires to be loved first and most by you. When we put our hope in Him above all else, He can be trusted to provide what is best, whether that is marriage in His timing or contentment and purpose while you wait. Prepare your heart in this season by growing in virtue, in gentleness, meekness, orderliness and reverence for God, for these are the qualities that sustain a home far more than outward beauty or display.
As you pray for a husband, pray also for the kind of man to seek. Do not look first for money, status or family splendor, for these are passing things and can even become a burden. Look for piety of soul, gentleness, true understanding and the fear of God. Look for a man who loves Jesus Christ, for it is through Christ alone that we have salvation and life, and only a man rooted in Him can love a wife as Christ loves the Church. Seek counsel from wise and godly people around you, from your family and your church, and do not walk this path alone.
Commit this matter fully into the hands of God as the servant of Abraham did when he sought a wife for Isaac. Pray simply, Lord, whom You will, provide. Ask Him to be present from the very beginning of your search, to guide your steps, to guard your purity, and to prepare both you and the man you may one day marry to honor one another in Christ.
Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, I lift this daughter to You. You know her desire for marriage and for companionship. If it is Your will, send her a faithful man who loves You above all else, a man of gentle character and true faith who will be a true husband and protector and head of a home.
