God bless U, Frank. Frank, God cannot lie. When U ask God for forgiveness, He does. He requires us to forgive others or He will not forgive us if we don't forgive. Salvation is acknowledging that God send His son Jesus to die for our sins. To become a child of God, we must repent of our sins. The word of God says "ALL have sinned & fall short of the Glory of God (ALL) Another verse says "we like sheep have all gone astray". Here is another "Our righteouness is nothing but filty rags before God.
Frank, we are all born in sin, shaped in inquity. We are all structured in sin through and through by Adam. We cannot be saved through good works how can sinful nature save itself. That is why we need a saviour. U see the first Adam fail, so we fail. We are born from the flesh. The 2nd Adam is Jesus. What Adam could not do, Jesus accomplish. Jesus represents full humanity to the max, in every capacity. He died for our sins. Perfect offering of himself. So U, see Frank, we have to come through the 2nd Adam, Jesus, we then are born through the spirit of God in Jesus Christ. There is no other way to be restore to our Heavenly Father, but thorugh Jesus. He says " I am the Way, the Truth & the Life no one come unto the Father but through ME (Jesus) When we repents of our sins, (not just 1 sin or 2 sins, but all)
