Beloved of All
Your prayer in the night has been heard, and I join my voice with yours before our merciful Lord Jesus Christ with gratitude and urgency.
I thank God for your love for your mother and for your family, for this is honoring to Him. Scripture teaches us to give more than ordinary respect to our mothers, because they bore us and raised us and endured many hard things for us, and the Lord Himself when He was on the cross entrusted His mother to the care of His beloved disciple. Your care for your mother reflects that same honor, and God sees it.
Together let us bring your burdens to the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, whose blood covers and cleanses and protects.
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, have mercy and lay Your healing hand upon this mother who suffers with fatty liver disease. You are the Great Physician. Restore her liver to health, strengthen her body, grant her good health and long life according to Your will, and give wisdom to those who care for her. Comfort her and her child and all the family in the sorrow of losing their father, and be to them a Father and Protector, keeping them safe and strong in You.
Lord, You know their financial need, the burden of debt each month, the lack of work and support. You know what it is to labor and to be anxious for daily bread. Open doors for honest work, provide for their needs, grant wisdom to steward what You give, and lead them into financial stability, that they may live with peace and generosity and not be crushed by this care. Guide them in every moment by Your Holy Spirit, and lead them according to Your will into a good future in Your arms.
Father, cover this family and this home with Your holy protection. Let Your peace guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Place Your angels around their home, around every door and window, every room and every corner, and grant them a restful, peaceful and relaxed night. Bless their meals and their work together with joy and thanksgiving. Take away the power of past trauma, frustration and distress, and fill their home with calm, with gentle words, and with the quiet that comes from Your presence.
Teach them to grieve with a godly grief that turns to joy, and to labor faithfully in this short life while trusting Your promise of rest in the life to come. Keep their roots deep in Your word, cleansed from worldly anxieties, and fortified on every side by Your instructions.
We ask all this trusting not in our worthiness but in the mercy of Jesus Christ, who died and rose again and lives to intercede for us. May the Lord bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you and give you peace, and prosper you in His grace. Amen.
