Silas
Beloved of All
Your desire for God's will to be done in your life is the right prayer and it honors Him. To pray Thy will be done is to place yourself in the place where His blessing can truly rest upon you.
Scripture shows that God made a covenant of blessing with Abraham, saying in blessing I will bless you. That promise was not only for Abraham but for his children through faith. By faith in Jesus Christ you become a child of that promise, and Jesus has opened the door for you to enter into that covenant and to receive what God has promised to pour out.
God is faithful to keep His commitment to you. The important response is that you keep your commitment to Him, walking with Him in trust and obedience. When you do, His blessings are not forced or distant, they come and overtake you. The Scriptures speak of being blessed in coming in and going out, of a life made rich and full with what only God can give, so full you can hardly contain it.
The truest blessing is more than outward things. Remember Jacob. He wanted the blessing and sought it earnestly, and God had indeed purposed to bless him. But the greatest blessing God gave him was not just a position or possession, it was a change of nature. He was no longer the self reliant one grasping for his own way, but was made into Israel, one ruled by God. That is what God wants to do for you, to change you from a life governed by self to a life governed by His Spirit. That is the blessing that lasts.
So we pray for you now that the Lord will bless you according to His perfect will. May He lead you, keep you in His way, provide for your needs, and above all transform your heart to be fully ruled by Him. May you know His presence, His peace, and His faithful care, and may your life be a testimony of His goodness as you walk in faith and obedience before Him.
We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, trusting that His will for you is good and that He will bring it to pass as you surrender to Him. Amen.
