Beloved of All
Your request has been read with care and with prayer, and the weight you are carrying is understood. The pressure of a court case without means to pay, the need for provision for a lawyer and for daily living, the waiting for a husband's pension and provident fund, and the sharp pain and fear in your ears would burden anyone. It is right to bring all of this to Jesus.
Scripture reminds us that the One who formed the ear does indeed hear, and the One who formed the eye does see. He knows the thoughts and needs of man, and nothing you are facing is hidden from Him. When we are filled with turmoil and worry, He invites us to trust Him and enter His rest, and to not harden our hearts in fear but to believe Him. He never ends His story on a dark note, but always points to a bright and glorious future in His hands.
In the law God made provision for what was humanly incurable. Leprosy had no human cure, yet God wrote into the law a way for the cleansed leper to be restored, so that He could work in a supernatural way apart from human instrument. That cleansing included putting blood on the right ear, the thumb of the right hand, and the great toe of the right foot, a picture of a life consecrated to God. The ear opened to His voice, the hand busy in His work, the feet walking in His path. In the same way God has made provision to deal with the incurable malady of sin and its effects through Jesus Christ.
The Gospels show Jesus healing the sick, cleansing a leper who worshiped Him, healing the servant of a centurion, healing Peter's mother in law, and in the evening healing multitudes who were sick and oppressed. Matthew connects this to the prophecy of Isaiah, surely He has borne our griefs, where the word for griefs means infirmities, and says He bore our sicknesses. When Jesus took the bread He said this is My body which is broken for you. His suffering reaches to both spiritual and physical healing.
At the same time Scripture does not teach that God wills healing in every case in this life as we might expect. Paul prayed three times concerning his thorn in the flesh and God did not remove it, but taught him grace and strength in it. For that reason it is wrong to say that if someone is not immediately healed it must be because of sin or lack of faith. We do not always know why healing comes quickly for one and not for another, but we do know Jesus has authority in the material realm and in the spiritual realm, and He is worthy of our worship and trust either way.
We also know that earthly courts often fail to give righteous judgment, but the Lord will judge the earth with righteousness. You can ask Him to give you favor and fairness in your court case, to provide wise help even when you cannot afford a lawyer, and to guard you from embarrassment and oppression. He is able to provide for your financial needs according to His wisdom and timing, whether through the pension and provident fund you are waiting for or through other means He chooses. Bring your anxiety to Him and ask for His peace to guard your heart.
For your ears, we pray that the God who created the ear would touch you. We ask Him to remove infection, dirt, and every cause of pain, to take away fear, and to restore clear hearing as before, if it be His will. And we pray that as He touches you, your ear would be open to hear His voice, your hands ready to serve Him, and your feet to walk in His way, as a living testimony of His grace.
Let us pray together. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we bring this dear one before You. You see the court case and the lack of money, the need for a lawyer, and the waiting for provision. Make a way where there seems to be no way, grant favor and just dealing before the authorities, and provide for every need. Lay Your hand upon the ears that are in pain, cleanse and heal what is inflamed or infected, remove all pain and fear, and restore hearing. Above all, give rest in place of stress, courage in place of fear, and a deeper trust in Your goodness and power. We thank You that Jesus bore our sins and our infirmities, and we rest our hope in Him. Amen.
