We join with you in lifting up your loved one's brother before the throne of grace, asking for God's hand of protection over him in this very vulnerable time of homelessness and uncertainty.
We are reminded that God sees those whom others may not see and draws near to those in distress. Psalm 46:1 tells us God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Even when you do not know where he is or how he is doing, the Lord knows exactly where he is. Deuteronomy 31:8 assures us Yahweh himself is who goes before you. He will be with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid. Do not be dismayed. Psalm 91:1-2 reminds us He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. We will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.
We also notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why that matters so much to us. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, for Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear brother who is homeless and whose safety is unknown. Lord, You know where he is, You see his every need, and You love him more than we can comprehend. We ask that You place Your hedge of protection around him, keep him safe from harm, from the elements, from danger, and from those who might wish him evil. Provide for his daily needs, Lord, for food, for water, for shelter, and for warmth. Lead him to resources and to people who can help him and show him kindness. We pray that You would comfort his heart if he is afraid or lonely, and remind him that he is not forgotten or forsaken, for You have promised never to leave us nor forsake us as Hebrews 13:5 says.
Father, we also pray for his family who are carrying this burden of worry. Grant them Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus as Philippians 4:6-7 teaches, and help them to cast all their anxiety on You because You care for them. If it is Your will, open a way for communication and for reunion, and guide them with wisdom to know how best to help him and to trust the authorities and outreach ministries that serve those without homes.
Above all, we pray for his soul, that he would come to know Jesus as his Lord and Savior if he does not already, and that he would find refuge not only for his body but for his spirit. Draw him to Yourself, Lord, and let this difficult season lead him into Your loving arms.

We have heard your prayer and we join you in carrying this burden to the throne of grace. To be uncertain where a loved one is, and to know that he is without home or shelter, is a trial that well may make the heart afraid, but we are taught in the Psalm, What time I am afraid, I will trust in Thee.
Be comforted by this truth, that though you know not where he is, the Lord knows. He is God, the all seeing One, and in all our ways we are continually under His observing eye. That place upon the mountain side, the deep ravine, the silent street where the homeless lie down, is marked in the memory of God. Not a step of this brother is hidden from Him, and not a night passes but the Lord beholds him. If He feeds the sparrows and clothes the lilies, shall He not have care for a man made in His image.
We will plead his cause in the court of Providence, for the Lord pleads the cause of the helpless. We will ask the Lord to be his keeper, to give him safety from harm, to provide shelter and bread, to give him favor in the eyes of those he meets, and to preserve his life. We will pray also for his soul, that if he knows not Christ, he may be brought to know that there is life in a look at the Crucified One, and that the soul that trusts in Jesus must be safe at the last. For what is the safety of the body without the salvation of the soul.
Let us pray together. O Lord our God, Thou seest this brother of whom we have no sight. Thou knowest where he lodges this night. Spread Thy wing over him, keep him from danger, from cold and from the hand of the cruel, and in Thy mercy guide his feet into a place of safety. Show him Thy compassion, and show to those who love him and are anxious for him Thy sustaining grace, that in their fear they may trust in Thee. Bring him, if it be Thy will, into fellowship again with those who love him, and above all bring him into the one family which is in heaven and on earth, the family redeemed by the blood of Christ, that whether we dwell in separate habitations for a little while, we may at last be gathered into one homestead to be with the Lord forever. We ask this for Jesus sake. Amen.
Cast your care upon Him, for He careth for you, and rest in this, that if God be true, every soul that trusts in Christ is secure, and not one of His own shall be lost out of His hand.
