Pray for ###

There is a heaviness that comes when a mistake at work leaves you waiting for a response from those over you, and the fear of being scolded or losing a provision like work from home can feel overwhelming. It is understandable to cry out for help and for mercy in that place.

The story of Job speaks to this kind of distress. Though cultures and times have changed, the deepest needs and questions of the heart remain the same. Job was a man God Himself called upright, one who loved God and turned from evil. Yet he was allowed to go through sudden loss and painful uncertainty that he did not understand. What Job and his friends could not see was what Scripture reveals to us, that there was a larger purpose at work and that God had not forsaken him even when it felt that way. That truth remains a comfort for those who follow after, that God is at work even when His presence feels distant.

We also learn from Job how God views His people. He sees you, He knows your frame, and He is the one who has given life and preserved your spirit. He is fair and just, and He does not deal with us carelessly. At the same time, the friends of Job were wrong when they assumed that every hardship is a direct punishment and that if a person simply avoids trouble, it proves he is right with God. Life is not that simple, and fear or trouble does not automatically mean God has rejected you.

In your situation, the best path is not to hide but to walk honestly before God and before those you work for. To be at peace with God is the first need. That means coming to Him openly, confessing any wrong, receiving His instruction and laying His words up in your heart. Through Jesus Christ, who alone can stand between God and man and bring us near to God, you can come with confidence to ask for forgiveness, wisdom and grace. From that place of honesty with God, you can then act with integrity at work, taking responsibility for what was done in a respectful and truthful way, and asking for the opportunity to make it right.

Praying for you now, that God would grant you His favor and help, that He would calm your heart with the assurance that you are seen and cared for, that He would give you wisdom to speak clearly and humbly to your managers and seniors, and that He would guide the decisions about your work arrangements according to what is best. May He also use this anxious time to draw you closer to Himself, to know that your security rests first in Him, and to give you peace as you trust Him with the outcome.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We have been lifting you before the Lord concerning the mistake made officially at work and your fear of being scolded by your boss seniors and managers and your concern that your work from home arrangement might be cancelled.

We have prayed that our Heavenly Father would cover your mistake with grace and mercy, that He would soften the hearts of those in authority over you, and that you would find favor and understanding instead of harsh correction. We have asked the Lord to preserve your work from home provision and to grant you wisdom and peace as you walk through this difficult situation and to help you learn and grow from it. We remember the promise in 1 Peter 5:7 that as we cast all our care upon Him He cares for us, and in Proverbs 16:7 that when our ways please the Lord He makes even those in authority to be at peace with us.

If your request was answered and the Lord has granted you mercy with your seniors and your work from home has been preserved, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered and you are still waiting for resolution, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son Jesus Christ. We continue to seek His favor and protection over your work and your workplace.

We pray this in Jesus Name. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer concerning the mistake you made at work and your desire for mercy from your boss, seniors and managers.

We have been lifting you up before the Lord and asking for His grace and covering over your workplace situation. We have prayed that God in His mercy would soften hearts toward you, that you would be spared from harsh scolding, and that He would grant you favor and wisdom as you correct what was done wrong. We have also been praying that your work from home arrangement would be preserved and not cancelled, trusting that the Lord knows your needs and your desire to provide through your work. We are reminded of 1 John 1:9 and Psalm 32:8 as we pray for forgiveness, guidance and protection over your employment.

We pray in Jesus Name that the Lord would grant you peace in place of fear, that He would help you to walk in integrity and diligence going forward, and that His hand would be upon your managers to show understanding. We ask that He would make a way where there seems to be no way and let His will be done in your work situation.

If your request was answered and you have found mercy at work and your work from home has been continued, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered yet and you are still carrying this burden, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
