Disciple of Prayer
I recently received the news that I was unsuccessful in both the initial pass list and the supplemental list for my Year 1 Law examinations, and I have now been asked to withdraw from the program.

This outcome has left me completely shocked and confused because I genuinely gave these examinations everything I had. Throughout the academic year, I prepared diligently and strategically for every course. I attended all my classes consistently, came prepared, asked questions whenever I did not understand a concept, spent countless hours reviewing my notes, completed and practiced past examination papers, and even hired a tutor to help me strengthen the areas I found most challenging.

When I sat my examinations, I felt confident in my performance. What makes this even more difficult to understand is that I passed some of the more challenging courses, while I was told that I failed courses I believed I understood very well. Many of the examination questions were similar to tutorial questions that I had thoroughly prepared, studied, and even presented.

Because of these circumstances, I applied for a review of the three examinations that I was informed I did not pass. I am prayerfully hoping that the review will reveal that there may have been an oversight or error in the marking process.

At this time, I humbly ask for your prayers. Please pray that God's will be done, that truth and fairness will prevail throughout the review process, and that He will grant me peace, wisdom, and strength regardless of the outcome. I trust that He is in control, even when I do not understand what is happening.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We stand with you in this time of shock and confusion, lifting your situation before the Lord with heavy hearts. You have shown remarkable diligence, discipline, and determination in your studies, attending classes faithfully, seeking understanding, reviewing thoroughly, and even investing in additional support. These are not small efforts; they are evidence of a heart that desires to honor God with excellence. Yet the outcome has left you reeling, and we grieve with you in this disappointment.

First, we want to affirm that your trust in God’s sovereignty, even when the path is unclear, is a testimony of faith. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." You are not alone in this struggle, and your willingness to surrender the outcome to Him is a beautiful act of worship. We pray that the Lord would reveal His purposes in this season, whether through the review process or in redirecting your steps toward another path He has prepared.

We also lift up the review of your examinations with fervent prayer. Psalm 37:6 declares, "He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, your justice like the noonday sun." If there has been any oversight or injustice in the grading, we ask that the Lord would expose it and bring forth truth and fairness. May those responsible for the review approach their task with integrity, humility, and a commitment to accuracy. We rebuke any spirit of confusion, bias, or error that may have influenced the process and declare that God’s light will shine upon every detail.

Yet even as we pray for a favorable outcome, we also ask the Lord to guard your heart against bitterness, doubt, or despair. This setback does not define your worth or your future. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Whether the Lord opens the door for you to continue in this program or leads you elsewhere, we trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).

We also encourage you to seek wisdom from godly mentors, advisors, or even professionals who may help you navigate this season. Proverbs 11:14 says, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." Do not isolate yourself in this time. Lean on your church community, family, and trusted friends who can pray with you, offer perspective, and remind you of God’s faithfulness.

Finally, we want to gently address the importance of anchoring your hope in Jesus Christ alone. While your request does not explicitly mention Him, we know that it is only through His name that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to consider the gift of salvation He offers. Romans 10:9-10 tells us, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." This is the foundation of all hope, peace, and purpose.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister in this time of deep disappointment and uncertainty. Lord, You see the diligence, the late nights, the prayers, and the tears that have been poured out in preparation for these examinations. You know the shock and confusion that now weigh upon his/her heart. We ask that You would be near, comforting and sustaining him/her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we pray for the review process. We ask that You would guide the hands and hearts of those involved, that truth and fairness would prevail. If there has been any error, oversight, or injustice, we ask that You would expose it and bring correction. Let Your light shine upon every detail, and may Your will be done in this situation. We declare that no weapon formed against him/her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we rebuke every spirit of confusion or discouragement that seeks to steal hope.

Lord, regardless of the outcome, we ask that You would grant wisdom for the next steps. If this is a closed door, we pray that You would open another that no one can shut (Revelation 3:8). Give clarity, direction, and confidence in Your plan. Help him/her to see this not as a failure, but as a redirection toward something greater that You have prepared.

We also ask that You would guard his/her heart from bitterness, doubt, or despair. Remind him/her that setbacks do not define destiny, You do. Strengthen faith, renew hope, and fill him/her with Your joy, which is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10). Surround him/her with godly counsel, encouragement, and community.

Above all, Lord, we pray that You would draw him/her closer to You. May this season deepen trust in Your sovereignty, Your goodness, and Your unfailing love. If he/she has not yet surrendered to Jesus as Lord, we pray that this time of uncertainty would lead to a revelation of Your grace and the gift of salvation.

We trust You, Father, to work all things together for good, and we declare that Your plans for him/her are for peace and not for evil, to give a future and a hope. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, Amen.

We hear the shock and confusion in your words. You worked diligently, prepared thoroughly, and entered those exams with genuine confidence, so of course this news feels disorienting and deeply painful. We grieve with you. That kind of unexpected outcome can shake a person to the core.

You have already taken a wise and practical step by requesting a formal review. While you wait, you might consider reaching out to a trusted professor or academic advisor, not to reargue the results, but to help you understand how the exam was graded or whether there were common patterns you may have missed. Sometimes a second set of eyes can offer insights that would serve you well regardless of which way the review goes. That is not about finding fault in your effort; it’s about gathering clarity so you can move forward with confidence, whatever the review decides.

We have learned in our own lives that God’s plan often unfolds in ways we do not immediately grasp. That doesn’t minimize the sting or the confusion, but it does allow us to release the outcome into His hands. The peace you’re asking for is not a feeling that everything makes sense, it is the quiet confidence that He holds you and your future, exam results or not. He has not abandoned you in this, and He is not wringing His hands over what happens next.

We are praying with you, for a careful and fair review, for strength to accept whatever comes, and for that deep, steady peace to guard your heart right now.

Lord Jesus, we lift up our friend in this painful waiting. You see the hard work, the tears, and the longing for justice. Grant a thorough and just review of these exams. More than that, pour out Your peace that surpasses understanding. Give wisdom for any immediate steps, and anchor this heart in the unshakeable truth that nothing can separate us from Your love and Your good purposes. In Your name, amen.
