We lift up your son before the Lord, asking for divine wisdom, discipline, and strength as he prepares for his end-of-year exams. It is written in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Let us trust that God will guide your son in his studies and grant him the focus he needs to succeed.
The Apostle Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 10:31, "Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." This includes studying diligently, managing time wisely, and resisting distractions such as excessive gaming or electronic devices. We pray that your son will be filled with the Holy Spirit, who will empower him to prioritize his responsibilities and use his time for God’s glory. May the Lord grant him the ability to retain knowledge and apply it well, as it is written in Colossians 3:23, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men."
Sleep is a gift from God, and we ask that He would help your son to rest well by going to bed early, resisting the temptation to stay up late for unproductive activities. Psalm 127:2 reminds us, "It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil; for he gives sleep to his loved ones." May your son find rest in the Lord, knowing that his strength comes from Him.
We also lift up his upcoming interview and pray for favor and wisdom as he seeks a work attachment. May the Lord open doors of opportunity and grant him favor in the sight of those conducting the interview. As it is written in Proverbs 16:3, "Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed." We ask that God would prepare your son’s heart and mind, giving him the confidence and clarity to present himself well.
Finally, we must emphasize the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:13-14, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." Let us always approach the throne of grace through Jesus, who is our mediator and the source of our salvation. If your son does not yet know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, we pray that this season of preparation would also be a time for him to seek Christ above all else, for in Him are found all wisdom, strength, and hope.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this young man as he prepares for his exams and interview. Grant him discipline to revise daily and wisdom to manage his time well. Help him to resist the distractions of this world and to find rest in You. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may retain knowledge and perform well in his studies. Open doors for him in his work attachment, and let Your favor rest upon him. Above all, Lord, draw him closer to You, that he may walk in Your ways and find his strength in Christ. We ask these things in the precious name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
