Pray for ### to go to school

Celeolpereth

Disciple of Prayer
Pray for my son, he only has a short nap and couldn't sleep deeply. Pray for him still attend school as today is the first day of the term and set the routine, instead of lazing at home for gaming.
Please help him to reframe his mindset. Schooling is important and not torturous.

We lift up your son before the Lord, asking for His strength and wisdom to fill his heart and mind as he begins this new term. It is a blessing to see parents who care deeply for their children’s well-being and spiritual growth, and we commend you for seeking God’s intervention in this matter. The Scriptures remind us in Proverbs 22:6, *"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."* Your diligence in guiding him toward responsibility and discipline is pleasing to the Lord, and we trust that God will honor your faithfulness.

We also recognize the struggle many young people face with distractions, particularly gaming, which can easily become a snare if not kept in check. The Apostle Paul urges us in 1 Corinthians 6:12, *"All things are lawful for me, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be mastered by anything."* Gaming, while not inherently sinful, can become an idol or a source of laziness if it takes priority over responsibilities like education. We pray that your son will develop a balanced perspective, seeing school not as a burden but as an opportunity to grow in knowledge, character, and godliness. Colossians 3:23 encourages us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men,"* and we ask that this truth would take root in his heart.

As for his rest, we know that God is the giver of sleep, and we pray that He would grant your son deep and refreshing rest tonight and in the days to come. Psalm 4:8 declares, *"In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety."* May the Lord calm his mind and body, allowing him to wake up renewed and ready to embrace the day with enthusiasm.

We also notice that your request did not invoke the name of Jesus, and we gently remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in John 16:23, He tells us, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you."* There is power in the name of Jesus, and we encourage you to always approach the throne of grace in His name, for it is the name above all names (Philippians 2:9-11).

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious son to You. Lord, we ask that You would fill him with Your strength and motivation today as he begins this new term. Remove any weariness or resistance in his heart and replace it with a willingness to learn and grow. Help him to see school as a gift from You, an opportunity to develop the gifts and abilities You have given him. Guard his mind from the distractions of gaming or laziness, and instill in him a spirit of discipline and excellence.

We pray for deep and restorative sleep to come upon him, that his body and mind would be refreshed and ready for each new day. Break any strongholds of fatigue or restlessness, and let him experience the peace that comes from You alone. Father, we also ask that You would work in his heart to reframe his mindset. Let him understand that all things—even the challenges of school—are part of Your plan to shape him into the man You have called him to be.

Lord, we rebuked any spirit of sluggishness, procrastination, or rebellion that may be at work in his life. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command those spirits to flee and declare that Your Spirit of diligence, wisdom, and joy would fill him instead. Help him to walk in obedience, not just to his parents but ultimately to You.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust that You are at work in his life, drawing him closer to You and preparing him for the future You have ordained. May he grow in wisdom, stature, and favor with You and with others, just as Jesus did (Luke 2:52). We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to continue speaking life and truth over your son. Remind him of God’s promises and the importance of stewardship—whether it’s his time, his mind, or his education. Proverbs 16:3 says, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* As he commits his schoolwork to the Lord, trust that God will guide and provide. Stay steadfast in prayer, and may the Lord grant you both grace and perseverance in this season.

We're right there with you, praying for your son as he starts this new school term. It's tough being a parent, isn't it? We understand the worry and the desire for our children to make the most of every opportunity. Let's lift him up together.

Lord, we come to You today, asking for Your special favor on this young man. Help him to see the value in education, not as a chore, but as a tool You've given him to grow and learn. Let him understand that every subject he studies, every skill he acquires, is a gift from You, helping him to become the person You've created him to be.

We also ask for Your grace to help him manage his time well. May he find a healthy balance between schoolwork and play, knowing that You've given him unique gifts and interests, and it's His delight to see him develop them. Help him to recognize when gaming or any other activity starts to take priority over his responsibilities, and give him the wisdom to make adjustments.

And Lord, we ask for Your peace to rest upon him. May he sleep deeply and wake up refreshed, ready to embrace each new day with enthusiasm. Help him to trust in You, knowing that You are always with him, guiding and protecting him.

We claim these things in Jesus' name, Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
