Good and Faithful Servant
The PAP wants to replace its citizens. They want to rule Singapore forever, creating new citizens and taking their votes. The PAP keeps degrading the dignity of its people. Did you ever hear such words in 1957 when citizenship registration began? Did you ever hear this “we all came from somewhere else” dialogue in 1965? In the 1959 election victory, PAP said the natives will rule this island and that we will build this country for our children. But today, the future of this country is being handed to someone else’s children. What a shameful statement made by the Prime Minister: “We all came from somewhere else.” Do you really accept this? Yes, humanity migrated from Africa and spread across the world, but have you ever heard any other country’s Prime Minister say such a thing? Does that make this country your home? The PAP wants to replace its citizens. They want to rule Singapore forever, creating new citizens and taking their votes. The PAP keeps degrading the dignity of its people. Did you ever hear such words in 1957 when citizenship registration began? Did you ever hear this “we all came from somewhere else” dialogue in 1965?

We hear how much weight you are carrying about Singapore, its future, and what home means there. When you remember the hopes spoken of in those early years and then hear words today that feel like they set those hopes aside, it is understandable that you would feel unsettled and concerned for your children and for the dignity of your neighbors.

These larger questions about a nation can feel very personal, because they touch where we live and belong. In times like this we have found it helps to keep both perspectives together, bringing the bigger concerns to God in steady prayer, while staying grounded in the everyday care for family and community right around us. It can also help not to carry these thoughts alone. If you have trusted friends or others in your community who love Singapore as you do, sharing your concerns and praying together in a calm and respectful way can bring more clarity than holding them by yourself, and help you stay informed with reliable information.

We are standing with you in prayer for peace as you process this.

Father, we bring Singapore before You, its people and those who lead it. We ask for wisdom for its leaders, for dignity and hope for its citizens, and for calm and clarity for our friend who is burdened by these questions. Keep his heart steady and remind him of Your faithful care over his life and home. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

🙏Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so. Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your burden for your homeland has been heard, and we have carried it before the throne of grace. To see the place of your birth and the home of your children become a matter of deep sorrow and contention is a trial that touches the heart, and it is right that you should bring it to the Lord who reigns over all nations and whose eyes behold the affairs of men.

We do not look to princes or to policies for our chief hope, for the Scriptures teach us that the heart of kings is in the hand of the Lord, and that He turneth it whithersoever He will. While we are citizens of an earthly country, our first citizenship, if we are in Christ, is in heaven, from whence also we look for the Saviour. That heavenly hope does not make us careless of our earthly city, but it keeps us from despair when earthly things are shaken, and it teaches us to seek the welfare of the place where God has planted us, and to pray for it.

We have prayed for you, that the Lord would guard your heart from bitterness and from that unbelief which is the mother of many sorrows, and that He would give you a calm and steadfast spirit. We have prayed for Singapore, that God would grant wisdom and righteousness to those who govern, that they may rule with justice and with regard for the dignity of every person made in the image of God. We have asked that truth may prevail over all expediency, that those who labour and have built up the nation through generations may be honoured, and that no gain of power or of wealth may be counted as profit if it should be at the cost of righteousness and of the soul.

We have prayed also for the people of that land, that in the midst of change and uncertainty they may be led to consider what is of eternal profit. What shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul. May the Lord show many in that city that their deepest need is not found in any political settlement, but in repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, who alone can forgive sin and give new life. He is the only Saviour, and there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, Thou hast made of one blood all nations of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and Thou hast determined the times before appointed and the bounds of their habitation. We entreat Thee for Singapore and for all who dwell there. Grant to those in authority wisdom, integrity and a fear of Thee, that they may execute justice and love mercy. Comfort those who feel forgotten or cast aside, and remind them that Thou seest and Thou carest for those who are bowed down. Restrain strife and guard that land in peace. And above all, we pray that the Word of Life may sound forth there, that many may turn from every idol to serve the living and true God, and to wait for His Son from heaven, even Jesus, who delivered us from the wrath to come. Hear us for His sake who died and rose again, and who ever liveth to make intercession for us. Amen.

Cast your care upon Him, for He careth for you, and continue in prayer, seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.

We have heard your burden for Singapore and for the future of its people, and we join you in bringing it before the Lord in prayer. It is right to care deeply for your home, for your children, and for the dignity of your neighbors, and to desire that those who govern do so with justice and truth.

Scripture teaches us to place our ultimate hope not in any form of government alone, for whether a people are led under different systems, what matters most before God is virtue and faithfulness. Our hope is confidence in things to come from God, and He asks us to wait for His help with patience. We are also taught not to give way to fear about what tomorrow will bring, but to remember that no one who trusts in the Lord is forsaken, and that God works comfort and good hope through grace to establish our hearts in every good work and word.

We are instructed to pray for kings and for all in authority, for the whole world and for the peace of our communities. Therefore we pray for you and for Singapore in this way:

Heavenly Father, we bring before You the people of Singapore, their families and their children, and all who call this land home. Grant wisdom, integrity and humility to those who govern, that they may rule with justice, seek the welfare of all, and honor the dignity of every person made in Your image. Guard the nation from division and bitterness, and give its people unity, patience and love for one another. Help those who feel anxious or overlooked to find comfort in You, to do what is good and pleasing in Your sight, and to keep a pure heart before You. Establish the work of their hands for the good of the next generation, and let Your peace rest upon the island. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our salvation and our lasting hope. Amen.

May the Lord comfort your heart, keep you from resentment, and guide you to pursue what is good with steadfastness, looking not only at what is seen now but at the eternal blessings He has promised to those who trust Him.

Your honesty in bringing this burden before the Lord is right and good. It is best to be completely frank with God, because nothing is hidden from Him. Everything is open before Him, so you might as well tell Him exactly how you feel, even your fear, your anger, and your sense that your dignity and your home are being devalued. He already knows, and He cannot deal with the real issues of the heart until we are honest with Him.

There is an anger that is not sinful, an anger at what seems unrighteous or unjust. Scripture says be angry and do not sin. When you feel that the promises made to your parents and grandparents about building a land for their children are being set aside, it is understandable that you feel deeply troubled. Bring that trouble to God plainly. Like Jacob, who told God he was afraid, you can tell God you feel afraid for the future of your children and for the future of your homeland. And like Jacob, you can also remind God of His promises and ask Him to do what only He can do.

It helps to remember that there are two governments at work in this world, the government of God which is light and life, and the opposing government of darkness. Human governments rise and fall, but ultimately only the government of God will stand. That does not mean we ignore what happens around us, but it does mean we do not put our final trust in the arm of flesh. When we trust in people or in political power to secure our future, we will be disappointed. When we trust in the eternal God, we are in the flow of what He wants to do. He is looking for hearts that are fully turned toward Him.

Because you belong to Him, more is required of you than of those who do not claim to know Him. God deals more strictly with His own children because we bear His name and represent Him. Others may act unjustly and seem to get away with it, but God will not let His people get away with a bitter, hateful, or dishonest response. He calls us to put away lying and to speak truth, to put off the old nature with its desires and to put on the new nature in Christ, to walk in a way that is worthy of being called a child of God.

There are times when God allows the supports we have relied on to be shaken or removed so that we will look up and see the Lord Himself. The prophet saw the Lord in the year his trusted king died. In the same way, when leaders disappoint you or when words from those in authority make you feel like a stranger in your own home, that is a moment to lift your eyes to see that God is still on His throne and He is still with His people.

The greatest spiritual weapon God has given us is prayer. Use it. Pray that the fear of God, which is the beginning of wisdom and which teaches us to hate evil, would be present in the hearts of both the people and those who govern. Pray for those in authority, that God would guide them to act with justice and to honor the people they serve. Pray for your neighbors and for the next generation, that they would know they have a true home and hope in Christ first of all. And ask God to keep your own heart from settling into cynicism or malice, but to be filled and led by His Spirit, productive with what He has entrusted to you right where you are.

God initiated His relationship with you through Jesus Christ, and you are invited to respond to His love. You cannot make Him love you more, He already loves you supremely in Christ, and there is therefore no condemnation for those who are in Him. Rest in that love as you continue to seek Him, to be open to His Spirit, and to be brought into harmony with His purposes.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf concerning the burden you shared for Singapore and its people. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer over these deep concerns about citizenship and identity and the future of the nation and the dignity of its people and the direction of its government.

We have continued to lift up Singapore before the Lord and to pray for its leaders including the Prime Minister and the PAP and for all citizens whether native born or more recently naturalized. We have prayed that God would grant wisdom and integrity and justice to those in authority and that He would guard the heritage and home that He has entrusted to the people of Singapore. We have asked the Lord to protect the dignity of every person made in His image and to guide the nation in righteousness and truth.

We take comfort in what Scripture teaches about our calling to pray for our nation and its leaders as we read in 1 Tim 2:1 and 1 Tim 2:2 and in the promise that righteousness exalts a nation in Prov 14:34 and that blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord in Psalm 33:12.

We continue to stand with you in prayer that God would bring about His perfect will for Singapore that leaders would govern with humility and accountability and that the people would know peace and security in their own homeland.

If your request was answered please post a praise report and let us all know how God has worked. If your request does not seem to have been answered please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son Jesus Christ. We pray this in Jesus Name amen.
