Pray for this

Good and Faithful Servant
I don't find the connection with this Jesus anymore, I don't see the point of going to church and reading the bible and this is a religion that I stop because I have to get into reality where it does not say what it provided in the bible, it is like a self deception. Thinking that God and Jesus will provide but with a judgmental eyes from others in church. Now since Jesus cannot answer my prayer and I don't see the point in continuing in the agony of some judgmental eyes I will be on my own and going to Church will be the last or non - existent from now on wards cause it is a agony to be following his will while what about my survival where I need is a job no this.

We hear the deep struggle and pain in your words, and we want you to know that your feelings are not unseen by God. It’s clear that you’re wrestling with disappointment, not just with circumstances, but with faith itself. You feel abandoned by the very One you once trusted, and the judgment from others in the church has only deepened that wound. We grieve with you over the hypocrisy you’ve encountered, for Jesus Himself reserved His harshest words for religious leaders who burdened others with rules while neglecting love and mercy (Matthew 23:4). The church should be a hospital for the broken, not a museum for the "perfect," and we are truly sorry if you’ve experienced anything less.

But we must gently challenge the idea that walking away from Jesus is the answer to your pain. You say you no longer see the point in following Him because He hasn’t answered your prayers the way you hoped, and because the people who claim to represent Him have failed you. Yet consider this: if Jesus is who He claimed to be, the Son of God, the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6), then turning away from Him doesn’t lead to freedom, but to a deeper emptiness. You mention "getting into reality," but the reality is that every one of us will stand before God one day (Hebrews 9:27). The question isn’t whether God has failed you, but whether you’ve allowed the failures of people to distort your view of Him.

You’re right that the Bible promises provision, but it never guarantees an easy life. Jesus said, "In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world" (John 16:33). The agony you feel isn’t because God is silent, it’s because this world is broken, and even His people can act in ways that dishonor Him. But that doesn’t mean He isn’t working. The Israelites wandered in the desert for 40 years, yet God provided manna every morning (Exodus 16:4). He didn’t always give them what they wanted, but He gave them what they needed. Could it be that your current struggle is not a sign of His absence, but an invitation to trust Him in a deeper way?

As for the judgmental eyes in the church, we renounce that spirit in Jesus’ name. That is not the heart of God. Jesus ate with sinners, touched the untouchable, and reserved His compassion for the broken (Luke 15:1-2). If you’ve been wounded by those who claim to follow Him, we ask for your forgiveness on their behalf, for they have misrepresented the grace of Christ. But don’t let their failures define your faith. The church is flawed because we are flawed, but Jesus died for her anyway (Ephesians 5:25-27). The solution isn’t to abandon the body of Christ, but to seek out those who truly reflect His love, those who will walk with you, pray with you, and remind you that you are not alone.

And about your survival, your need for a job, for provision, we believe God cares deeply about those things. But the Bible also says, "Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you" (Matthew 6:33). That doesn’t mean prosperity will come instantly, but it does mean that God’s ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). Sometimes He allows us to wait so that our faith will grow. Sometimes He provides in ways we don’t expect. But if we walk away from Him, we cut ourselves off from the very source of our help (Psalm 121:1-2).

We want to pray for you now, not with empty words, but with the hope that God will meet you in your doubt and draw you back to Himself.

Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts for our brother/sister who feels lost and abandoned. Lord, You see the pain, the disappointment, and the weariness. You know the questions that plague their soul. We ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a tangible way, not as a distant God, but as a loving Father who draws near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18).

We renounce the spirit of judgment and hypocrisy that has wounded them in the church. Lord, raise up godly men and women in their life who will show them the love of Christ without condemnation. Heal the hurts caused by Your people, and restore their faith in Your goodness.

We pray for provision, Father, You know their needs. Open doors for employment, provide for their daily bread, and remind them that You are Jehovah-Jireh, the God who sees and provides (Genesis 22:14). But more than that, we pray that You would meet their deepest need, the need for You. Soften their heart to receive Your love again. Help them to see that You are not a distant concept, but a living Savior who walks with them even now.

We ask that You would break the lies of the enemy that say You have failed them. Remind them of Your promises, and give them the strength to press into You even when it’s hard. Lord, if there is any area of their life that is not aligned with Your will, any sin, any bitterness, any unforgiveness, we ask that You would bring it to light and give them the grace to surrender it to You.

Above all, we pray that they would encounter You afresh. Let them hear Your voice, feel Your presence, and know that You are for them, not against them (Romans 8:31). Restore their joy in You, and help them to see that following You is not a burden, but the path to true life (Matthew 11:28-30).

We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who died so that we might live. Amen.

Friend, we understand that this is a battle, and we don’t take your struggle lightly. But we urge you not to make a permanent decision based on temporary feelings. The enemy wants you to believe that God has abandoned you, but the truth is that He is closer than you think (James 4:8). If you’re willing, we encourage you to do two things:

1. Find one person, just one, who loves Jesus and loves people well. Share your struggles with them. Let them walk with you. Isolation is the enemy’s playground, but community is where healing begins.

2. Open Your Bible to the book of John and read it as if for the first time. Ask God to speak to you through it. John’s Gospel was written so that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing, you might have life in His name (John 20:31).

You are not alone in this. We are praying for you, and more importantly, God is pursuing you. Don’t give up. The same Jesus who calmed the storm (Mark 4:39) can calm the storm in your heart. But you have to let Him.

We hear how exhausting this is, the weight of needing a job, the sting of judgment from people at church, and the silence that feels like Jesus isn’t listening anymore. When survival itself is at stake, the disconnect between what we’ve been told faith should provide and the loneliness of unanswered prayer can make it all feel like a cruel setup. It’s no small thing to carry that kind of ache, and we don’t think you’re wrong for feeling it.

Sometimes the agony isn’t that God isn’t real, but that the version of church we’ve known has been so wrapped in performance and critical eyes that it’s hard to breathe there. Stepping back from the building doesn’t have to mean stepping away from the possibility that God still sees you. That might feel like way too small a comfort right now, but we’ve seen people in similar spaces find that not forcing themselves into the pew for a while actually cleared space to reconnect on their own terms later. You don’t have to have it all figured out today.

The most urgent thing is your survival, the job. That’s a real, this-world need, and we pray it gets met soon. While you’re pushing forward practically, let yourself be a person with needs, not just a “believer who should be doing more.” Lean into any resource, any network, any concrete step that might open a door. And if the old religious habits feel hollow, maybe try something small and low-pressure, like a quiet walk where you just untangle your thoughts, no Bible, no should-be’s. Not to earn anything, just to let the noise settle.

We’re sorry you’ve been looked at with judgment. That wound is real, and we grieve that it’s pushed you away. No one should have to endure that while already fighting for a paycheck.

We’ll sit with you in this in-between space now. Jesus, when faith feels like a distant rumor and the checkbook is thin, meet this person right here. Open a path for the job they need, and give them a safe place to breathe again. Quiet the voices of other people’s judgment so they can hear their own worth apart from anyone’s approval. In Jesus’ name.

My brother in Christ you are here, He has not left nor forsaken you his Spirit is drawing you to fellowship even now. Do not let the churches discourage you, lay hold on him and he will lead you to true born again believers I am just now in my walk after 3 years learning what surrender actually means I disliked when a brother or sister told me simply "surrender" but that is what I am going to say here, surrender is not bowing before him whether or not we feel it, it's saying like God I CAN'T do this I don't feel love or respect for you right now I need you to change my heart and way of thinking. Brother I know what it is like I don't have the verse or chapter numbers here with me but I know what it's like to lay hold on promises of God and them not coming to pass quite yet. God has to prepare us for the blessings he gives or we will "consume them upon our own lusts" I realize that "hope is deferred" "Hope deferred makes the heart sick" I am dealing with this even currently but he is teaching me to be content and grateful for what I do have that sounds cliche but it's true it his will that is working in me and will ultimately prevail just look to him. I have one last thing there is someone on YouTube called ### he has a deliverance ministry God works strongly through this believer. In Jesus name brother I pray God draws you closer and closer constantly He loves you.

The agony you describe is not a stranger to the saints, nor is it evidence that faith is a delusion. You cry, “I have to get into reality where it does not say what it provided in the bible.” Yet the reality is that the life of faith has always been a life of trial. Your present need of a job and your survival are not outside the scope of God’s provision, but the wisdom of God often orders a long winter to teach us what it is to trust, not merely to receive. When you say Christ cannot answer your prayer, consider whether unanswered prayer is in fact a Fatherly chastisement for our offenses or an admonition against sin harbored. It may be that He is strengthening your muscles and tendons, sinews and power by the arduous exercise of unanswered prayer that you may be finely useful in the future.

You speak of the judgmental eyes of others, and I do not deny the wound. Yet would you cast away eternity because of temporal offense? Think of what God has worked for us. When we were a few people, what intense agony of prayer we had. The church is not a gallery of perfected saints but a hospital for sinners; do not let the hypocrites drive you from the Physician. You are not required to answer for their pride, but you are commanded not to restrain prayer before God. Do you account prayer a delusion? The Bank of Faith is not a worldly institution, but it has never failed. If you think that because Christ has not granted your petition in the moment of your demand He is therefore not true, then your faith was not the faith that can stand the test. The Christian’s walk is faith, and his life is faith. If your faith will only flourish in fair weather, it is well it does give way, for then it may drive you to seek the true faith which will bear these tests.

You say there is no point in continuing in the agony of following His will. But the will of God for you is not less than your survival; it is your sanctification. Job, in all his loss, would not let go, crying, “Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him.” This is the victory that overcomes the world, even your faith. The Lord’s apparent silence is not absence. Brethren must not take delays in prayer for denial; God’s long-dated bills will be punctually honored. You long for a job, pray distinctly and directly for it. But do you think your soul’s greater poverty is a resume and a wage? You have a deeper need: to see His face shine upon you. The Church of God needs a thousand things, but you can put them all into one: the Church of God needs her God, and you need your God.

I earnestly entreat you, do not surrender to this despondency. The evil one would have you abandon the prayer meeting, abandon the Book, abandon the fellowship where, though imperfect, the Spirit of prayer has never died out among us. I speak to you as a member of this church: there has not been a church that has had such cause to pray, nor such answers to prayer. Will you cast off fear and restrain prayer because of some dry bones among us? We do not need fresh plans; we only need life and fire in those we have. Come back to the prayer meeting, not to see men, but to seek the Master. Let your agony drive you to the Mercy Seat, not away from it. He will yet turn your captivity, as He did Job’s. The Lord revive His work in you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The agony you feel is the very wind that tests your faith. When Peter walked on the water, the waves did not make him sink, but his own little faith. So now, if your faith had been steadfast, you would have stood easily against these trials. Do not say that Jesus has not answered; it is not the assault of your circumstances that overthrows you, but the doubt that weakens your soul.

You speak of leaving the church because of the judgmental eyes of others. But the Church is of God, not of this or that man. If you wait to find a gathering without sinners, you wait in vain. Even Paul did not say, “What need have I of prayer?” though those who prayed were not worthy of him. If the mighty apostle needed the intercession of the saints, do you imagine you can stand alone? To say you have no need of the Church is to exalt yourself, and you will be humbled. The help of others profits you nothing if you sleep and surrender to despair, but when you are watchful and cling to faith, their prayers become a strong wall.

You call the promises of the Bible self-deception. This is the reasoning of a man who demands to see before he believes. But faith is to be fully persuaded, clearer than any demonstration of the mind. Abraham glorified God because he did not stagger at what was promised, being convinced that God was able to perform it. If you search for a reality that your eyes can measure, you will never find the invisible kingdom. Questioning and endless reasoning are the subversion of faith; they minister disputes, not the life God would dispense to you. Christ commanded you to seek, not by curious arguments, but by vehement desire in prayer.

You cry out, “What of my survival? I need a job.” Does not your Father know what you need? The Lord did not teach you to demand a sign but to seek first His kingdom. When you ask and do not receive, do not charge God with faithlessness. Examine whether you ask with a heart that has already withdrawn. The delay is meant to drive you to your knees, not away from them. Fasting and prayer together have great power, not because they force God’s hand, but because they shape your soul to receive His mercy.

The judgmental eyes you fear cannot harm you if your faith is steadfast. Why do you make the faults of others a pretext for your own falling away? You will give an account for yourself, not for them. Do not let human weakness become a stumbling block that makes you shipwreck your own soul. Return and endure. The same wind that frightens you will become the means of your salvation when you fix your eyes on Christ and walk forward.
