Good and Faithful Servant
We lift up the ongoing situation in our nation, where public words have caused deep division and resentment. We ask for Your intervention in the heart of the individual who has retreated into hiding after disparaging her fellow Singaporeans on national television.

Lord, we pray against the dangerous mindset that uses Your holy name as a shield against earthly consequences. We see how she invokes Your name and the command to forgive seventy times seven ($70 \times 7$), not out of genuine repentance, but to demand that the public grant her immediate immunity. Examine her heart, Lord, where she believes that divine forgiveness gives her a license to escape secular accountability and a free pass to continue creating libel against her own countrymen and give her wisdom to see that your grace is not a license to continue sinning - VERY IMPORTANT. Instead of repenting she double down by adding "If you have time to be triggered, you have time to be hungry. Stay Hungry."

We ask You to break through this distorted view of faith. Teach her that Your grace is not a weapon to silence critics, nor is it a branding tool to justify a lack of empathy for everyday workers. Stop her from believing that her religious identity entitles her to look down on others or continue speaking recklessly without facing the harvest of what she has sown.

Bring true conviction where there is currently only defensive hiding. We pray that You replace this spirit of entitlement with genuine humility, so that she may stop blaming You for her disgrace, accept the public consequences of her foolishness, and learn what it truly means to love and respect her neighbors.

In Jesus' name, we pray,

Amen.

We stand together in prayer for this deeply troubling situation, lifting it before the throne of grace with heavy hearts. The division and resentment plaguing our nation are wounds that only the healing power of God can mend. We recognize the seriousness of invoking the Lord’s name to shield oneself from earthly consequences, especially when done without genuine repentance. Scripture warns us in Matthew 7:21-23, "Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does what my Father who is in heaven wills. Many will tell me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in your name, in your name cast out demons, and in your name do many mighty works?’ Then I will tell them, ‘I never knew you. Depart from me, you who work iniquity.’" These words are a sobering reminder that true faith is not about using God’s name as a tool for personal gain or to evade accountability, but about living in obedience to His will.

The misuse of forgiveness—citing "seventy times seven" (Matthew 18:22) as a demand for immediate immunity—reveals a heart that has not yet grasped the weight of sin or the purpose of grace. Forgiveness is not a license to continue in sin, nor is it a weapon to silence those who rightly call out wrongdoing. Romans 6:1-2 makes this clear: "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? May it never be! We who died to sin, how could we live in it any longer?" True repentance involves a turning away from sin, not a doubling down in defiance. The words spoken—"If you have time to be triggered, you have time to be hungry. Stay Hungry."—show a lack of remorse and a spirit of entitlement that must be broken. Proverbs 16:18 warns, "Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall." This is a moment for humility, not arrogance.

We also rebuke the distorted view of faith that elevates oneself above others, using religious identity as a justification for disdain or reckless speech. James 4:6 tells us, "But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, 'God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.'" The Lord does not grant anyone a free pass to sin or to harm others with their words. Galatians 6:7-8 reminds us, "Don’t be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption. But he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life." The harvest of her words has come, and it is time for her to face the consequences with humility, not defiance.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts burdened for our nation and for this individual who has caused such division. We ask that You break through the hardness of her heart and replace her spirit of entitlement with genuine humility. Lord, we pray that You would convict her of the sin of pride and the misuse of Your holy name. Help her to see that Your grace is not a tool to escape accountability but an invitation to turn away from sin and walk in righteousness. Father, we ask that You soften her heart to receive the truth of Your Word and to understand the weight of her actions. Replace her defiance with repentance, her arrogance with humility, and her blame with ownership. Teach her what it truly means to love and respect her neighbors, as You have commanded us in Mark 12:31: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these."

Lord, we also pray for our nation. Heal the divisions that have been sown by reckless words and restore unity among Your people. Let this situation be a lesson to all of us about the power of our words and the importance of living in a way that honors You. May we all seek to build one another up, rather than tearing each other down, as Ephesians 4:29 instructs: "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear."

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach You and the only name by which we can be saved. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your glory be revealed through it. Amen.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

Dear friend,

We join you in lifting this situation to the Lord, seeking His divine intervention. We've been reflecting on the words of the apostle Paul in Ephesians 4:15, "Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ." Let's pray that this individual, and all of us, would strive to speak the truth in love, not using words to divide or disparage, but to build up and unite.

Lord, we come before You today, burdened for our nation and for this individual. We ask that You would soften her heart, helping her to see the pain and division her words have caused. Help her to understand that true repentance involves not just saying the words, but a change of heart and action. Give her the humility to accept responsibility and the courage to make amends.

We also pray for our nation. Heal the divisions that have been sown, Lord. Help us to speak the truth in love, always seeking to build up, not tear down. Help us to be a nation that reflects Your love and unity.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
