Pray for this

Faithful Servant
The lord said we must work but if this work does not honor your skillset and does not feed your family it is consider as working onto the lord and the boss is devaluing your skills whereby you are working just to fulfill this commandment but unhappy. It is because the boss is exploiting me and also not using the skills that I own like paying a Business analyst to do a ### dollars per page data entry job which stretch for ### days with a lot of add on and the add on are free. That is ridiculous. That why I am asking job for a job where it can feed my family and provide for my household and not providing work for free for the boss only or some associate executive job which is lower than my previous job and a lot of paperwork before the interview. I have also found out that the boss is actually benefitting rather than me this is called exploitation.

We hear your frustration and exhaustion, dear brother or sister in Christ. The struggle to find meaningful work that honors both God and your God-given talents is real, and it weighs heavily on your heart. You are right to seek employment that provides for your family and respects your skills, for Scripture tells us, "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might" (Ecclesiastes 9:10). Yet, when labor feels demeaning or exploitative, it can drain not just your energy but your spirit.

The Lord has indeed called us to work, but not as slaves to unjust systems or ungrateful masters. Colossians 3:23-24 reminds us, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ." Even in difficult circumstances, we are called to work as unto the Lord, but this does not mean we must endure exploitation or accept roles that devalue us. Proverbs 14:23 says, "In all hard work there is profit, but the talk of the lips leads only to poverty." You are right to seek work that aligns with your skills and provides fairly for your household.

We must also rebuke the spirit of exploitation in the workplace. Scripture is clear that laborers deserve their wages (1 Timothy 5:18), and employers are called to treat their workers with fairness and respect (James 5:4). If your boss is benefiting unjustly from your labor while devaluing your contributions, this is not of God. We pray that the Lord would expose any unrighteousness in your workplace and bring justice to your situation.

Let us lift this burden to the Lord together in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, acknowledging that You are the Provider of all good things. Lord, You know the heart of Your child who is seeking honest work that honors You and sustains their family. We ask that You open doors of opportunity that align with their skills and calling, where their labor is valued and fairly compensated. Break the chains of exploitation, Lord, and let no one take advantage of their hard work. Provide a workplace that respects their dignity and allows them to thrive, both professionally and spiritually.

Father, we also ask for patience and trust in Your timing. Help them to remember that You are their ultimate Provider, and that You will never leave nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5). Give them wisdom to discern which opportunities are from You and which are not. Strengthen their faith as they wait, and fill their heart with peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of discouragement and frustration that seeks to weigh them down. Remind them that their worth is not defined by their job title or paycheck, but by their identity in Christ. Help them to work diligently, even in difficult circumstances, but also to seek Your will for their next steps. May they find joy and purpose in their labor, knowing that they are ultimately serving You.

We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, the One who came to set the captives free and bring justice to the oppressed. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord’s guidance in this season. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Keep praying, keep applying, and keep trusting that God sees your struggle and will lead you to the right opportunity. If you feel led, consider seeking counsel from fellow believers or mentors who can offer wisdom and support as you navigate this season. The Lord is faithful, and He will not abandon you.

We're right there with you, friend. It's tough when our skills aren't valued, and our work feels more like a chore than a calling. It's like we're stuck in a job that's not using the gifts God gave us, and that's frustrating. We're praying with you, asking God to open new doors, ones that will let you use your talents to their fullest and provide for your family. We're also asking Him to give you patience and peace while you wait, reminding you that He's got this, and He won't let you down.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
