Faithful Servant
I first met ### during one of the fellowship meals at church (###). At first, he seemed like a good person, introducing me to various churches (###, ###, ###, ###, ###, etc.) across Singapore where there was free food and social gatherings, including hotpot in ###. He also introduced me to ### from a learning center for a part-time job. Initially, the interactions seemed harmless, but gradually, ### began to show manipulative behaviors. He would gaslight me by listing my perceived flaws and speaking negatively about me behind my back. For example, once when I ordered a meal in a restaurant and it was served slowly, I informed the waiter that I was in a hurry. ### dismissed my concerns, even though I was anxious about being late for my next appointment during the busy Christmas period. The waiter then demanded payment for a meal that hadn’t been served, leaving me distressed and confused. ### treated the situation as trivial, though it caused me emotional upset. The part-time job ### had introduced me to was eventually stopped due to a lack of students, as the government had halted such programs. ###, the owner, had no choice but to stop the program, and he was very satisfied with the quality and delivery of my work while the program was running. Despite this, ### fabricated lies, claiming that I had refused to work there, trying to shift blame and manipulate the perception of others against me. ### also introduced me to his circle of friends, including ### (###) and ###. ###, in particular, caused emotional turmoil. She deceived me into thinking she had deep biblical understanding, but when questioned, she merely copied verses without genuine comprehension. She later sent me a verse that emotionally hurt me, and when I confronted her, I responded that God cannot be mocked or deceived. On another occasion, ### asked me to go to the healing room at the Church of ###. There, ### gave me a book from ### that contained gay content, which I had no interest in. When I asked ### if the book was stolen, she left the group chat instead of clarifying, which led me to wrongly suspect she had stolen it. In reality, she had given the book to ###, who passed it to me as a Christmas present without wrapping. I had to return it by mail and repay S### to the church, and ### dismissed it as a small matter, even though I felt distressed and confused. Further incidents with ### were more disturbing. During a trip to ### with my mother, ###, and ###, ### attempted to treat me as a romantic partner rather than a friend. He asked me to stay in a hotel alone with him and told my mother not to attend certain trips. He even previously claimed that he would leave his flat to me after his death. When my mother intervened in ###, ### protested publicly inappropriately, scratching his sock in front of her. Upon returning to Singapore, he blamed my mother for being toxic, despite her protecting me from his manipulative behavior. ### also tried to lure me out on various occasions with the intent of initiating sexual affection, showing a clear pattern of predatory behavior. On some occasions, he attempted to touch me inappropriately by rubbing my belly and commenting that I was “fat,” demonstrating both sexual harassment and emotional manipulation. ###’s manipulative and predatory behavior extended beyond me. He was a landlord who previously rented a room to a man named ###. ### reportedly attempted to insert himself as a “third wife” figure, standing in between ### and his spouse. He even went into the bathroom while ### was bathing, clad only in his underwear, demonstrating a pattern of boundary violations and invasive sexual behavior. I contacted ###, ###’s godfather, to understand more about ###’s behavior. ### revealed that ### had previously attempted sexual advances, requesting hugs that escalated to inappropriate contact. ### even admitted to ### that he would masturbate afterward while thinking of him, which led ### to cut off visits and ultimately prevent ### from accessing him further. ### then sought new targets within church circles, using social gatherings and parties for manipulative purposes. Recognizing this, I distanced myself from ###. He attempted to gaslight me by removing me from all his chat groups to make me feel alone, but I felt liberated instead and exited the groups cheerfully. ### continued to bad-mouth me and even tried to take credit for various church events I had attended. His attempts failed because I had strategically ghosted him and attended different services to avoid encounters. Eventually, other members of the chat group recognized his toxic behavior and left, leaving him socially isolated. ### continued attempts to engage me. She asked ### to request a meeting for “clarification,” which I initially declined. Later, ### involved ###, asking him to forward messages to me, and even offered to treat me with her ### salary for satay, which I refused, recognizing it as a manipulative attempt. I asked ### to inform ### that I did not wish to clarify in the group chat. ### left the group instead, which I noted as rude and avoidant behavior. Because she refused to clarify, I acknowledged that I could not accuse her of wrongdoing. Eventually, I made it clear that if she attempted to manipulate or harass me again, I would report it to the police. After setting these firm boundaries, they did not dare to disturb me again. Throughout these experiences, I maintained my boundaries, carefully disengaged from manipulation, and refused to participate in cycles of social or emotional coercion. I recognized manipulative tactics, asserted my autonomy, and protected my emotional and moral integrity, ultimately gaining control over the situation and refusing to be victimized by repeated harassment or deception. Besides this, ### who is a secret bible study group but the way he conducted himself is just unethical. Because I was out of job as the ex-employer force me to do some illegal things with the company laptop I refused to do and was dismissed by the company unfairly and at that time I went ahead to sue the employer he said I was doing wrong and dismiss the fact why I went to sue the company resulted in a lot of hurt. He said Christians should not sue each other but we use the Christian way to tell HR she refuse to repent so we proceeded with the lawsuit but he disagrees. In addition to that, the bread distribution for gospel is another group which is using Christ’s name for unethical purpose by saying and persuading people to join their church and leave their original church as they practice that by taking Covid vaccine is a sin and must repent before God, however, the things that they are doing which are to snap photos of residence and keep it for personal reference is against the law but not sinful and by fat shaming people is very Christian-like, right.
 
We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to Him in prayer. The pain, manipulation, and boundary violations you have endured are deeply troubling, and we stand with you in seeking God’s justice, healing, and restoration. The behavior described—gaslighting, emotional abuse, sexual harassment, and predatory actions—is not only sinful but a direct violation of God’s design for human dignity and respect. Scripture is clear: *"Do not be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom"* (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). The actions of those who sought to manipulate and harm you are an abomination before the Lord, and we rebuke them in the name of Jesus.

We are grieved by the way these individuals twisted biblical principles to justify their sin. The man who pressured you into inappropriate situations, the woman who weaponized Scripture to wound you, and the groups that exploited Christ’s name for unethical gain—all have strayed far from the truth. Jesus warned, *"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves"* (Matthew 7:15). Their actions reveal hearts that are not surrendered to God but enslaved to deception and selfish ambition. We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict them of their sin and lead them to genuine repentance.

Your courage in setting boundaries and protecting your integrity is commendable. Scripture affirms, *"Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it"* (Proverbs 4:23). You recognized the tactics of the enemy—isolation, manipulation, and coercion—and refused to be a victim. This is a testament to the strength God has given you. We pray that He would continue to fortify you, filling you with His peace and assurance that you are not defined by these experiences but by your identity in Christ.

We also lift up the pain caused by those who dismissed your concerns or sided with the abusers. The church is called to be a refuge, not a place where sin is enabled or excused. *"If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother"* (Matthew 18:15). The failure of others to address these sins is a failure to uphold God’s standards of justice and love. We pray for accountability within the body of Christ, that leaders would rise up to confront wickedness and protect the vulnerable.

Regarding the legal matters you faced, we acknowledge that Scripture does call believers to seek reconciliation first (Matthew 18:15-17). However, when unrepentant sin persists—especially in matters of fraud or injustice—God’s Word does not forbid the use of lawful means to seek justice. The apostle Paul appealed to his Roman citizenship and the legal system to protect himself from unjust treatment (Acts 22:25-29). Your decision to pursue legal action against an employer who demanded illegal acts was righteous. We pray that God would vindicate you and that your integrity would be honored.

As for the groups misusing Christ’s name—whether through vaccine shaming, fat-shaming, or other forms of spiritual abuse—we rebuke their hypocrisy. Jesus reserved His harshest words for religious leaders who burdened others with legalism while neglecting justice, mercy, and faithfulness (Matthew 23:23). These groups have strayed from the Gospel’s central message of grace and redemption. We pray that the truth of God’s Word would expose their errors and that those deceived by them would find freedom in Christ.

Most of all, we pray for your healing. The emotional wounds inflicted by these experiences are deep, but the Lord is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). May He restore your sense of safety, renew your trust in His people, and fill you with His perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). You are not alone—God sees your pain, and He will repay those who have harmed you (Romans 12:19).

Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We ask that You would bring justice to this situation, expose the darkness, and heal the wounds inflicted. Protect Your child from further harm, and surround them with godly community that reflects Your love. Convict the hearts of those who have sinned, that they may turn from their wickedness and find forgiveness in Christ. Strengthen our brother/sister in their faith, and let them experience the fullness of Your peace. We pray for revival in the church, that Your people would walk in holiness and truth. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. We are deeply moved by your courage in sharing such a painful and complex experience, and we have been lifting you up in prayer these past days. Your strength in setting boundaries, recognizing manipulation, and protecting your emotional and spiritual well-being is a powerful testimony to God’s faithfulness in your life. We have prayed specifically for healing from the gaslighting, deception, and emotional turmoil you’ve endured, asking the Lord to replace every lie with His truth and to restore your peace.

We’ve also prayed for wisdom and discernment as you navigate relationships and environments where trust has been broken. May the Holy Spirit continue to guide you, shielding your heart from further harm and filling you with His perfect love that casts out fear.
