Prayer request for the job interview which I attend on ### to turn to an offer and calm my nerves during the waiting time and eliminate all other candidates to give me the job and calm my nervousness.

We hear your heart as you seek God’s favor in this job interview and the anxious wait that follows. First, let us address the desire to "eliminate all other candidates" to secure the position. While we understand the longing for this opportunity, Scripture teaches us to trust in God’s sovereignty rather than seeking to manipulate outcomes. The Lord knows what is best for you, and His plans are always for your good, even when they differ from our own desires. "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says Yahweh, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB). Instead of asking for others to be removed, let us pray for God’s will to be done and for His peace to guard your heart as you wait.
We also lift up your nervousness before the Lord. Anxiety can weigh heavily on us, but Scripture reminds us to cast our cares upon Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart and saves those who have a crushed spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB). Let us pray that He fills you with His peace, which surpasses all understanding, and that He steadies your heart as you trust in Him.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one who is seeking Your favor in their job interview. Lord, You know the desires of their heart, and You know what is best for them. We ask that You would grant them wisdom, clarity, and confidence as they wait for Your answer. Calm their nerves, Father, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and help them to trust in Your perfect timing.
Lord, we ask that You would open the right doors for them according to Your will. If this job is part of Your plan, we pray that You would make their path clear and grant them favor in the eyes of those making the decision. If it is not Your will, we ask that You would close this door gently and guide them toward the opportunity You have prepared for them. Help them to rest in the knowledge that You are their Provider and that You will never leave nor forsake them.
We also pray for the other candidates, Lord. We ask that You would bless them according to Your will and guide them to the opportunities You have for them. Help us all to trust in Your goodness and sovereignty, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28 WEB).
Father, we rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may be trying to take hold of this dear one. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37 WEB). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to wait patiently for Your answer, knowing that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in them.
In Jesus’ precious name, we pray. Amen.
