We lift this request before the Lord, seeking His guidance and favor in this job interview process. Father, we know that all things work together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We ask that You go before this dear one as they seek employment, opening doors that no one can shut and closing those that are not Your will (Revelation 3:7-8).
Lord, we pray for peace and confidence during this time of waiting. The anxiety and nervousness that can creep in are not from You, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety in the name of Jesus, asking that You replace it with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7). Help them to cast all their cares upon You, knowing that You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).
We also come before You with a heart of humility, recognizing that while it is natural to desire this job, we must trust in Your sovereignty. It is not our place to ask You to eliminate other candidates, for each person is fearfully and wonderfully made by You (Psalm 139:14), and You have plans for each of them as well. Instead, we ask that You align this situation with Your perfect will. If this job is meant for them, let it be so, and if not, prepare something even better according to Your wisdom and timing.
Father, we ask that You grant them favor in the eyes of those conducting the interview. Let Your light shine through them, reflecting Your love, integrity, and wisdom (Matthew 5:16). May their words and actions be seasoned with grace, and may they honor You in all they do (Colossians 4:6). We pray that the interviewers see the value and skills You have placed within them, and that they recognize how this dear one can contribute to their organization in a way that glorifies You.
Lord, we also ask that You guard their heart and mind against any temptation to doubt or despair. Remind them that their worth is not found in a job title or the approval of others, but in You alone. You have promised to supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Help them to rest in that promise and to wait patiently for Your provision.
Lastly, we want to emphasize the importance of seeking You first in all things. It is through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to You, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that this dear one has a personal relationship with You, knowing You as their Lord and Savior. If they have not yet surrendered their life to You, we ask that You draw them close, revealing Your love and truth to them. May they come to know the peace and joy that comes from walking with You daily.
Heavenly Father, we commit this job interview and the outcome into Your hands. We trust in Your goodness and faithfulness, knowing that You hold the future. Strengthen this dear one with Your might and fill them with hope as they wait. May they experience Your presence in a tangible way, reminding them that You are with them always (Matthew 28:20). We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
