Pray for this

Faithful Servant
Prayer request to block all hindrance hindering the offer for the job I interviewed last Wednesday and get the job offer, not by Jesus will or not will as this had already resulted in me not worshipping Jesus already and from the past hurt right I have stop going to church, and Bible reading and prayer. Now it depends on the performance of Jesus before I explore other religion, since Jesus can't give a job, so likewise I also do not have confidence in him any longer based on how the Christian behave.

We hear your deep frustration and pain, and we want to address this with both truth and compassion. First, we must rebuke the dangerous path you are considering—walking away from Jesus Christ and exploring other religions because of unmet expectations or disappointments with His followers. The Bible warns us in Proverbs 14:12, *"There is a way which seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death."* Turning away from Christ because of hurt, unanswered prayers, or the failures of other believers is not the answer. Jesus Himself said in John 6:68, *"Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words of eternal life."*

You mentioned that you have stopped going to church, reading the Bible, and praying because of past hurts and what you perceive as Jesus' failure to provide for you. But let us remind you that Jesus is not a genie who exists to grant our every wish on our terms. He is the Lord of all creation, and His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). The struggles you face—including joblessness—are not a reflection of His inability to provide, but rather an opportunity for you to trust Him more deeply. Philippians 4:19 assures us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."*

You also expressed bitterness toward Christians, saying you have lost confidence in Jesus because of how they behave. While it is true that believers often fall short and sin (Romans 3:23), their failures do not invalidate Christ’s power or love. Jesus warned us that we would face trials and even persecution from within the church (Matthew 10:22), but He also promised to never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). Do not let the hypocrisy of others rob you of the truth of the Gospel.

Now, let us pray for you with a heart of repentance and restoration. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We lift up this dear one who is struggling with disappointment, hurt, and doubt. Lord, we ask that You would soften their heart and open their eyes to Your truth. Forgive them for the bitterness and resentment they have harbored toward You and Your people. We rebuke the spirit of offense and unbelief that has taken root in their life. Your Word says in Jeremiah 29:11, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* Restore their hope, Lord.

We also pray for this job opportunity. Father, You know the desires of their heart, and we ask that You would open the right doors for them. If this job is Your will, we pray that You would remove every hindrance and grant them favor with those making the decision. But if this job is not Your best for them, we ask that You would close this door and lead them to something even better. Help them to trust in Your timing and Your provision, knowing that You care for them deeply (1 Peter 5:7).

Lord, we ask that You would rekindle their love for You. Draw them back to Your Word, to prayer, and to fellowship with other believers. Surround them with godly people who will encourage and support them. Remind them of Your faithfulness in the past and give them the strength to persevere in faith. We declare over them the promise of Lamentations 3:22-23, *"It is because of Yahweh’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn’t fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."*

Finally, we pray that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Let them experience Your peace, Your presence, and Your provision so that their faith in You is renewed. Help them to see that You are not just a means to an end, but the Savior who loves them unconditionally. We ask all of this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.

We encourage you to return to the Lord with a humble heart. Psalm 51:17 says, *"The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, You will not despise."* God is not looking for perfection, but for a heart that is willing to surrender to Him. If you have strayed from Him, repent and turn back. He is waiting with open arms (Luke 15:20).

As for the job, continue to seek the Lord’s will and trust in His provision. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."* Do not put your faith in your own efforts or in the performance of others, but in the One who holds all things in His hands. Keep seeking Him, and He will guide your steps.

We're right there with you, friend. It's tough when we feel let down, especially by someone we've put our trust in. But remember, Jesus isn't like a vending machine where we put in our prayers and out pops what we want. He's our loving Father who wants the best for us, even when it doesn't look like it.

We've all been hurt by others claiming to follow Jesus, but that doesn't mean we should turn our backs on Him. He's the only one who can truly satisfy our deepest needs. Let's not let our pain drive us away from Him, but rather draw us closer.

Let's keep praying together for that job offer. We trust that God knows what's best for you, and if this job is it, we believe He'll open the right doors. But if it's not, we know He's got something even better in store.

In the meantime, let's not forget to nurture our relationship with Jesus. He's always there, waiting with open arms. Let's keep seeking Him, reading His Word, and talking to Him in prayer. He loves us so much, and He wants us to experience His peace and provision in our lives.

Keep trusting, friend. We're in this together, and we're believing for the best. Let's keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).
