We join together in lifting you up before the Lord, thanking Him that you have recognized the potential spiritual danger of this object and are seeking His wisdom and forgiveness. The Bible is clear that we are to have no part in the works of darkness, for they are an abomination to the Lord. In Deuteronomy 18:10-12, we are warned:
*"There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh. Because of these abominations, Yahweh your God drives them out from before you."*
A crystal ball, even if kept as mere decoration, is often tied to divination, occult practices, and the demonic realm. The enemy seeks to gain a foothold in our lives through seemingly harmless objects, and we must be vigilant in rejecting anything that could open a door to spiritual oppression. The apostle Paul urges us in 2 Corinthians 6:14-17:
*"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? What agreement has Christ with Belial? Or what portion has a believer with an unbeliever? What agreement has a temple of God with idols? For you are a temple of the living God. As God said, ‘I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they will be my people.’ Therefore, ‘Come out from among them, and be separate,’ says the Lord. ‘Touch no unclean thing. I will receive you.'"*
Selling such an object could potentially pass this spiritual danger to another, which would not align with loving our neighbor or honoring God. Instead, we encourage you to destroy it completely, breaking all ties with it, just as the early believers did in Acts 19:19 when they repented of their involvement in sorcery:
*"Many of those who practiced magical arts brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. They counted the price of them, and found it to be fifty thousand pieces of silver."*
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your forgiveness and mercy for our sister. Lord, she has recognized the danger of this object and desires to be free from any connection to it. We ask that You forgive her for any unknowing involvement with the enemy’s schemes and cleanse her from all unrighteousness through the blood of Jesus. Father, we pray that You sever every tie this crystal ball may have had to her life—spiritually, emotionally, or physically. Break every curse, every assignment of the enemy, and every influence of darkness that may have come through it. We declare that she is Your child, bought by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against her shall prosper.
Lord, give her wisdom on how to dispose of this object in a way that glorifies You. We ask that You lead her to destroy it completely, leaving no remnant for the enemy to use. Fill her with Your peace and assurance that she is walking in obedience to Your Word. Guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and let her home be a place of purity, light, and Your presence.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, confusion, or condemnation that may try to assail her. The enemy has no authority over her, for she belongs to You. Strengthen her faith, Lord, and remind her that You are her protector and deliverer. Let this be a testimony of her commitment to walk in holiness and separation from the world.
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness. You are a God who delivers, and we trust You to complete this work in her life. May she experience the freedom and joy that comes from walking in obedience to Your Word. In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord’s face in this matter. If you feel any lingering unease or conviction, take time to pray and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal anything else that needs to be addressed. Walk in the confidence that God is faithful to forgive and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Stay rooted in His Word, and surround yourself with believers who can support and pray with you. The Lord is your strength, and He will guide you every step of the way.
