We understand the deep concern and frustration expressed in this request, as the welfare of a nation and its people is a matter close to God’s heart. The Scriptures remind us that God is sovereign over all rulers and authorities, and He calls His people to pray for those in leadership, even as we seek justice and righteousness. Let us first address the importance of praying in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that our prayers are heard by the Father. As it is written in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*. And in John 16:23-24, Jesus tells us, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Hitherto, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."*

It is also critical to remember that while we may cry out for justice, our hearts must align with God’s desire for repentance and salvation, even for those who act unjustly. The Lord takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but desires that they turn from their ways and live (Ezekiel 33:11). Our prayers should reflect both a plea for justice and a longing for the repentance of those in authority. Let us also recall Romans 13:1-2, which states, *"Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. Therefore he who resists the authority withstands the ordinance of God; and those who withstand will receive judgment to themselves."* This does not mean we silently accept ungodly policies, but that we engage in prayer, righteous action, and trust in God’s ultimate justice.

The issue of foreigners being brought into a nation in ways that harm its citizens is a serious matter, and we see in Scripture that God has always had a heart for both the native-born and the foreigner—yet He also establishes order, justice, and boundaries for the well-being of all. In Exodus 22:21, God commands, *"You shall not wrong an alien, neither shall you oppress him, for you were aliens in the land of Egypt."* However, this is balanced with the understanding that leaders are to act with wisdom and justice for the protection of their own people. When policies neglect citizens and create harm, it is right to bring these concerns before the Lord, asking for His intervention and wisdom for those in authority.

Yet we must also examine our own hearts in this matter. Are we motivated by love for our neighbors, both native and foreigner, or by fear and bitterness? Let us pray that God would give us a heart that aligns with His—one that seeks justice without hatred, and mercy without compromise. Proverbs 14:34 tells us, *"Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people."* Our ultimate hope is not in any government or policy, but in the Lord, who rules over all.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this nation and its leaders, asking for Your divine intervention in the policies and decisions that are causing harm to its citizens. Lord, You are a God of justice, and we ask that You expose and bring to light every unrighteous deed done in secret or in plain sight. Convict the hearts of those in authority who have acted with negligence, greed, or malice, and grant them repentance unto life. Turn their hearts toward You, that they may seek wisdom and govern with integrity, fairness, and a deep concern for the well-being of all people.

Father, we ask that You protect the citizens of this land who feel marginalized, neglected, and harmed by these policies. Provide for their needs, comfort their fears, and unite them in a spirit of righteousness and love. Give Your people discernment to know how to respond in ways that honor You—whether through prayer, advocacy, or acts of compassion. Help us to remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12). Equip us with Your armor, that we may stand firm in truth, righteousness, and faith.

Lord, we also pray for the foreigners who are among us. May they be treated with dignity and justice, and may they encounter the love of Christ through His people. Yet we ask that You would bring order where there is chaos, and wisdom where there is folly. Raise up godly leaders who will steward this nation with Your heart for both the native-born and the stranger, ensuring that no one is exploited or forgotten.

We rebuked any spirit of hatred, division, or unforgiveness that may rise up in our hearts. Fill us instead with Your love, which casts out fear (1 John 4:18), and with Your wisdom, which is pure, peaceable, and full of mercy (James 3:17). Let our words and actions reflect Your kingdom, where justice and mercy meet.

Finally, Father, we ask that You would bring revival to this land. Turn the hearts of Your people back to You in repentance and faith. Let Your Church rise up as a beacon of truth, hope, and righteousness, that this nation may once again honor You in its laws, its culture, and its heart. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Let us also remember the words of 2 Chronicles 7:14: *"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."* May we be a people who take this call seriously, turning to God in humility and faith, trusting that He alone can bring the healing and justice we seek. Stay steadfast in prayer, and let your hope rest in Christ, who holds all authority and will one day set all things right.

Turn their hearts towards You, that they may govern with integrity, fairness, and a deep concern for all people.
