Faithful Servant
I am concerned about the growing trend of Singaporeans prioritizing Johor-based businesses while neglecting our own Singapore businesses. This shift is causing serious harm to our economy, driving local companies toward bankruptcy and threatening the jobs of Singaporeans — seen by some as a plot of revenge for the government’s decision to bring in foreigners to work in Singapore. Even with the distribution of CDC vouchers, the effect is only temporary. Once the vouchers are used up, many Singaporeans will simply fall back to shopping and spending in Johor, further draining revenue from our own local businesses. To protect our economic stability, Singapore must rely solely on a 100% Singaporean workforce and cease the issuance of all foreign work passes. All businesses in Singapore should be owned, operated, and staffed by Singaporeans, ensuring that profits, opportunities, and skills remain within our borders. If it is not a full 100% Singapore workforce, the silence boycott will happen because the current situation is that company over favor foreigner at the expense of Singaporean. And as a result, Singaporeans have no work but all those foreigners have work and Singaporeans are treated unfairly often unfair dismissals or work and don't pay wages situation and given contract jobs whilst foreigners are given permanent jobs. If this trend of supporting foreign businesses over local ones continues, our domestic enterprises will collapse, and the livelihoods of our people will be further endangered. We must take immediate steps to redirect support toward businesses by Singaporeans, for Singaporeans.

We understand your concerns about the economic challenges facing Singapore and the impact on local businesses and jobs. We will pray for wisdom and guidance for the leaders and citizens of Singapore during this time. However, we also want to address the broader spiritual perspective on this issue.

Firstly, we must remember that our ultimate trust and security should be in God, not in economic policies or nationalistic efforts. As it is written in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Our focus should be on seeking God's will and trusting in His provision.

While it is important to support local businesses and ensure fair treatment of workers, we must also be cautious about fostering a spirit of isolationism or resentment towards foreigners. The Bible teaches us to show love and hospitality to strangers. In Leviticus 19:33-34, it says, "If a stranger lives as a foreigner with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong. The stranger who lives as a foreigner with you shall be to you as the native-born among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you lived as foreigners in the land of Egypt. I am Yahweh your God."

Moreover, we should be mindful of the attitudes of our hearts. Bitterness, resentment, or a desire for revenge are not aligned with the teachings of Christ. In Ephesians 4:31-32, we are instructed, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God also in Christ forgave you."

We will pray for a spirit of unity, wisdom, and love to prevail in Singapore. We pray that leaders will make decisions that promote justice, fairness, and prosperity for all. We also pray that the people of Singapore will seek God's will and trust in His provision.

Heavenly Father, we lift up the nation of Singapore to You. We pray for wisdom and discernment for its leaders as they make decisions that affect the economy and the livelihoods of its citizens. Lord, we ask that You would guide them to promote justice, fairness, and prosperity for all.

We pray for the people of Singapore, that they would seek Your will and trust in Your provision. Help them to support local businesses and to treat one another with love and kindness. Lord, we ask that You would heal any divisions or resentments and foster a spirit of unity and cooperation.

We pray for those who are struggling with unemployment or unfair treatment in the workplace. Lord, provide for their needs and open doors of opportunity for them. We ask that You would comfort and strengthen them during this time.

Finally, we pray that the people of Singapore would turn to You, Lord, and put their trust in You. Help them to remember that their ultimate security is found in You, not in economic policies or nationalistic efforts. We ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue praying for Singapore and to trust in God's provision. We also encourage you to show love and kindness to all people, regardless of their nationality, and to seek ways to support and encourage local businesses. May God bless you and guide you as you seek His will in this matter.

We're right there with you, concerned about the shift in priorities towards ###-based businesses. It's crucial that we support our own Singaporean businesses to maintain our economic stability and protect local jobs. We've been praying for wisdom for our leaders to make decisions that prioritize Singaporeans and ensure fairness in the workplace.

We also understand the frustration felt by many, but it's important to remember that bitterness and resentment aren't the answer. Instead, let's foster a spirit of unity and kindness towards one another, regardless of nationality. As it says in Galatians 6:9, "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."

Let's continue to pray for our leaders, that they may make wise decisions, and for our fellow Singaporeans, that we may support each other and treat one another with kindness and respect. And let's remember that our ultimate trust should be in God, who promises to provide for our needs.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

We want to thank you for allowing us to lift this burden for ### and its people before the Lord in prayer. It has been our honor to stand alongside you in seeking God’s wisdom, provision, and intervention for the economic challenges facing your nation—especially the struggle of local businesses, the protection of jobs for ###, and the need for fairness in the workforce. We know these concerns weigh heavily on your heart, and we have continued to pray earnestly for God’s justice, unity, and restoration over ###’s economy and its people.

As we wait on the Lord, we encourage you to share with us how He may be moving in this situation. If you’ve seen even the smallest glimmer of hope—whether through renewed support for local businesses, fairer employment practices, or a shift in the hearts of your fellow citizens toward unity—we would love to rejoice with you in a praise report. Sometimes God works in ways we don’t immediately see, and your testimony could be the encouragement someone else needs to keep trusting Him.

If the struggle persists and the weight of this issue still feels heavy, we invite you to share an update so we can continue to intercede with you. Let us pray for the leaders of ###, that God would grant them divine wisdom to make decisions that honor Him and protect the livelihoods of their people. Let us also pray for the hearts of ###—to foster a spirit of loyalty to one another, patience in hardship, and a commitment to building up their own communities in ways that reflect God’s love and stewardship.

We are also lifting up those who feel overlooked or unfairly treated in the workforce, asking the Lord to open doors of opportunity for them and to bring justice where there has been favoritism or exploitation. May God remind His people that He is the ultimate Provider, and that even in times of economic uncertainty, He holds the future of ### in His hands.

As you continue to seek the Lord in this matter, may He fill you with His peace that surpasses understanding and strengthen your faith to trust in His timing. We are here with you, believing that God is at work—even now—for the good of ### and the glory of His name.

We pray this in Jesus’ name.
