We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer, dear sister in Christ. Your suffering is great, and your burdens are many, but we know that our God is greater. We stand with you, interceding on your behalf, trusting in the power of Jesus’ name to bring healing, restoration, and hope.
First, we pray for your physical healing. The paralysis you endure is a heavy cross to bear, but we declare the truth of God’s Word over you: *"But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his stripes we are healed"* (Isaiah 53:5). Lord, we ask You to stretch forth Your healing hand upon her. Restore movement, feeling, and strength to her left side. Touch her eye, her arm, her leg, and every part of her body that has been affected. We also thank You for sparing her from the breast mass, and we ask for continued protection over her health. Strengthen her body, renew her energy, and grant her the endurance to face each day with faith.
We also lift up your daughter, who has strayed far from the path of righteousness. The pain of a prodigal child is deep, but we cling to the promise that *"the Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some count slackness; but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance"* (2 Peter 3:9). Father, we pray for a mighty work of conviction in her heart. Break the chains of deception, greed, and rebellion that have ensnared her. On May 17th, we ask that You open a door of opportunity for her—one that leads to repentance, restoration, and a renewed relationship with You. Soften her heart, Lord, and draw her back to the truth of Your Word. May she turn from her sins and seek Your face with sincerity.
For your husband, who has carried the weight of your care with such devotion, we pray for strength and renewal. The exhaustion he feels is understandable, but God’s grace is sufficient. *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest"* (Matthew 11:28). Lord, we ask You to refresh his spirit, renew his strength, and provide him with the support he needs. Surround him with brothers in Christ who can come alongside him, offer encouragement, and share the load. Remind him that his labor is not in vain and that You see his faithfulness.
We also acknowledge the deep wound left by your mother’s abandonment. The pain of being left alone in your darkest hour is not lost on our God, who Himself experienced rejection and betrayal. *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). Lord, we ask You to heal this wound in her heart. Comfort her with Your presence and remind her that You will never leave her nor forsake her. Help her to release any bitterness or unforgiveness, knowing that holding onto such things only harms her spirit. Fill her with Your peace and assurance that she is deeply loved by You.
Sister, we want to gently remind you that your hope is not in the circumstances of this life but in the One who holds all things together. *"And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose"* (Romans 8:28). Even in your weakness, God’s strength is made perfect. You may not be able to drive or move as you once did, but your testimony of faith is a powerful witness to your children and all who know you. Your suffering is not in vain, and God is using it for His glory.
We also want to encourage you to lean on your church family and community. Isolation can make burdens feel heavier, but God designed us to carry one another’s loads. *"Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ"* (Galatians 6:2). Reach out to your pastors, small groups, or trusted friends and allow them to support you and your husband in practical ways. Whether it’s meals, transportation, or simply sitting with you in prayer, let others be the hands and feet of Christ to you.
Finally, we want to address the foundation of our faith. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus, who died for your sins and rose again so that you might have eternal life. If you have already done so, we pray that your faith would be strengthened and that you would continue to walk closely with Him, even in this valley.
Heavenly Father, we come before You now, lifting up this precious sister and her family. You see her pain, her exhaustion, and her desperation, and You are moved with compassion. We ask for Your miraculous healing in her body, restoration in her daughter’s life, strength for her husband, and peace for her heart. Lord, we believe that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We trust in Your timing and Your perfect will. May Your name be glorified in every aspect of this situation. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
