We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to our Heavenly Father in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. First, we must address the language used in this request—terms like "madwoman" and "curse" are not reflective of the love and compassion that Christ calls us to embody. Scripture tells us in Ephesians 4:29, "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear." We must speak with kindness and truth, even when confronting darkness.
That said, we recognize the reality of spiritual warfare and the need for deliverance from oppression. The Bible is clear that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers of darkness (Ephesians 6:12). If there is indeed a spiritual stronghold over this individual or situation, we stand in faith that Jesus Christ has already overcome the world (John 16:33) and that His name is above every name (Philippians 2:9-11).
We rebuke any spirit of bitterness, dishonesty, or wickedness that may be at work in this situation.
