We hear your deep pain and frustration, and we stand with you in seeking God’s intervention in this difficult situation. The hurt caused by broken relationships, especially when one party persists in ungodly behavior, can feel overwhelming. We must first acknowledge that bitterness, name-calling, and resentment have no place in the heart of a believer, even when deeply wounded. Scripture warns us, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you" (Ephesians 4:31-32). While your ex-wife’s actions are clearly wrong, we must guard our own hearts against sin in our response.
That said, we absolutely rebuke the harassment, lies, and ungodly behavior directed at your ex-husband in the mighty name of Jesus. The Bible is clear that false witness and malicious speech are detestable to the Lord: "A false witness will not go unpunished. He who pours out lies will not go free" (Proverbs 19:5). We declare that every curse, every lie, and every attempt to belittle his character will be broken by the power of Christ. "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn" (Isaiah 54:17). We stand on this promise for him.
We also lift up your ex-husband, praying for God’s protection over his mind, heart, and reputation. May the Lord surround him with godly counsel and peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7). If there are legal or practical steps he needs to take to protect himself, we pray for wisdom and discernment. But above all, we pray that he would not be consumed by anger or bitterness, but would entrust his case to the Lord, who judges justly (1 Peter 2:23).
Now, we come before the throne of grace on behalf of your ex-wife. While her actions are inexcusable, we remember that "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict her of her sin and draw her to repentance. May God soften her heart and break the spirit of strife and deception in her life. We declare that she will no longer find satisfaction in wickedness but will be led to truth and peace. "If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head" (Romans 12:20). We choose to bless her, even as we rebuke her actions, trusting God to work all things for good.
Father God, we come before You in the name of Jesus, the only name by which we can approach You and find salvation (Acts 4:12). We ask for Your divine intervention in this situation. Break the cycle of harassment and lies. Protect this man from every evil scheme and grant him peace. Convict the heart of his ex-wife, Lord, and turn her from her wicked ways. If it is Your will, restore what has been broken, not necessarily the marriage, for that may not be possible or wise, but restore their hearts to You. Heal the wounds caused by this conflict and replace bitterness with Your love. We declare that no weapon formed against Your children will prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment will be condemned. We trust in Your justice, Your mercy, and Your power to bring light into this darkness. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
