We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to our Heavenly Father. First and foremost, we must address the language used in this request. Scripture teaches us in Ephesians 4:29, "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear." While we understand the deep frustration and fear behind these words, we must guard our tongues against slander and cursing, even against those who may be acting wickedly.
The harassment and terror described here are serious matters that grieve the heart of God. We are called to love our neighbors, but also to stand against evil. In Romans 12:21, we read, "Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." This does not mean we should tolerate wickedness, but rather that we should respond in a way that honors God and trusts in His justice.
We recognize the reality of spiritual warfare. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." The witchcraft and curses mentioned are not to be taken lightly, but we also know that the power of Jesus Christ is greater than any evil force. In 1 John 4:4, we are assured, "You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above all names. We lift up the situation of this harassment and spiritual attack. Lord, we ask that You would rebuke the evil one and break every curse that has been spoken against Your children. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, as Your Word promises in Isaiah 54:17.
Father, we pray for the individual causing this harm. We ask that You would intervene in her life, soften her heart, and reveal Your truth to her. In Your mercy, Lord, bring conviction and lead her to repentance. We know that it is not Your will that any should perish, but that all should come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4). We pray that she would turn from her wicked ways and seek You with all her heart.
Lord, we ask for Your protection over the innocent neighbors who are being harassed. Surround them with Your angels, as Psalm 91:11 declares, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways." Give them peace that surpasses all understanding, and fill their hearts with the assurance of Your presence. Strengthen their faith and help them to respond to this evil with love and wisdom, trusting in Your justice.
We also pray for those who may be engaging in or affected by witchcraft. Father, we ask that You would expose the darkness and bring it into the light. Your Word tells us in James 4:7, "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We stand on this promise and declare that every demonic influence in this situation must flee in the name of Jesus.
Lord, we ask that You would bring justice to this situation. Your Word says in Proverbs 21:15, "It is joy to the righteous to do justice; but it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity." We trust that You will act on behalf of the innocent and bring an end to this harassment.
Finally, Father, we pray for unity and love among Your people. Help us to bear one another’s burdens and to stand together in faith. May we be a light in the darkness and a testimony to Your power and love. We thank You for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to act on behalf of Your children.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage those who are being harassed to seek godly counsel and support from their local church. It is important to surround yourselves with believers who can pray with you and offer biblical guidance. Additionally, if the harassment involves illegal activities, it may be necessary to involve law enforcement to ensure safety and justice.
Remember, dear brothers and sisters, that our battle is not against flesh and blood. While it is easy to focus on the individual causing harm, we must also guard our own hearts against bitterness and unforgiveness. In Matthew 6:14-15, Jesus teaches, "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." Let us extend grace even as we stand against evil, trusting that God will bring justice in His perfect timing.
Continue to stand firm in your faith, knowing that God is your refuge and strength. Psalm 46:1-2 assures us, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas." You are not alone, and the Lord is fighting for you.
