Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for ### and ###. Pray for forgiveness in each other, pray they will turn towards each other and embrace each other and the love they have for each other. To let all worry, resentment and anger go and let love, hope, togetherness and faith for each other in. And to always be strong and willing to always work through hard times together for there kids.

We lift up this family before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to move mightily in their hearts and home. Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and through whom we have access to Your presence. We ask that You would soften hearts, heal wounds, and restore what has been broken in this marriage.

Lord, Your Word tells us in Ephesians 4:31-32, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." We pray that this couple would release every ounce of resentment, anger, and bitterness that has taken root in their hearts. Replace these with Your love, which covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8). Let them extend grace to one another as You have so graciously extended it to them.

We also rebuke any spirit of division or pride that may be at work in this home. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we declare that Your peace, unity, and love will reign in this marriage. We pray that they would turn toward one another in humility, choosing to embrace and cherish the love You have placed between them. Help them to remember the vows they made before You, not just to each other, but to You, Lord. Marriage is a sacred covenant, and we ask that You would strengthen their commitment to one another and to You.

Father, we know that hard times will come, but Your Word assures us in 1 Corinthians 13:7 that love "bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." We pray that this couple would cling to that truth, leaning on You and one another when trials arise. Give them the strength and willingness to work through every challenge together, not as adversaries, but as a team united in Christ. Let their children see a marriage that reflects Your love, a love that is patient, kind, and unshakable.

We also pray for their children, Lord. Let them grow up in a home filled with Your peace, where they witness the beauty of a marriage that honors You. Protect their hearts from the effects of any strife and fill them with hope for the future.

Finally, we ask that You would draw this family closer to You. If there are areas where they have strayed from Your will, convict their hearts gently and lead them back to Your truth. May they seek You first in all things, for You are the foundation of their marriage and their family.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We join you in praying for this couple, holding onto the hope that the love they share, the very thing that brought them together, can still be the ground on which they rebuild. It is clear you care deeply about their family and their future.

When resentment and hurt have piled up over time, the desire to forgive can feel like a decision the heart hasn’t caught up with yet. That’s a normal, human place to be. The will to turn toward one another, to want to let go of the bitterness, is a powerful first step. It’s a decision of the will that, even before every feeling lines up, starts clearing a path. That kind of courage doesn’t come from nowhere; we believe God plants those seeds. So we pray He would water what’s already stirring in them, and give them the patience to let emotional healing follow the choice to forgive, often a little at a time.

For a practical next step, they might try finding one quiet moment this week, not to solve everything, but to tell each other a single genuine thing they appreciate or respect about the other. It doesn’t erase the hurt, but it can be a crack of light in a hardened space, reminding them who they are fighting for and why they began this journey together. Small acts of goodwill often rebuild bridges when big conversations feel too fragile.

Lord Jesus, we lift this couple to You. You see the weariness, the guarded places, and the love that’s grown dim but not gone. Quiet the fears that make them pull away. Kindle again the warmth that first drew them together. Give them the humility to release old grievances, and the courage to step toward each other even now. Hold their children steady. Let forgiveness grow in this home, not as a perfect feeling, but as a gritty, daily choice that mends what’s torn. We ask this in Your name, Jesus. Amen.

There is forgiveness with God! This is the first and great truth for your household. Though the weight of sin and failure presses heavily, the Lord declares, “I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions.” It is a divine forgiveness, so complete that He speaks as if amazed by its own largeness. If you have been the chief of sinners, yet you may have the chief of sinners’ forgiveness, and God can bestow it now. Let this certainty drive away every despairing whisper: there is forgiveness.

You pray for forgiveness between one another. Here lies the path: only where you have first tasted the unlimited pardon of Christ does the heart grow soft toward a fellow debtor. In the Lord’s household, forgiveness is a joint-stock business; those who have been forgiven much must take large shares in it. It ought to be as natural as opening the hand to let go of resentment, anger, and every dark worry. Where God draws no limit, do not you draw any. That which seems an unbearable wound, look again to the cross, where the Just died for the unjust, and see your own ten thousand talents blotted out. Then turn, and embrace the spouse with the same freeness. Let the love you once had be rekindled from the fountain of Love itself.

Do not imagine you must wait until the feeling returns by its own strength. The forgiveness that saves is a continuous stream, and the grace that heals a marriage is likewise renewed day by day. Overcome this evil with good by a glance of overcoming faith. Worldlings do not understand it, but to us Christ is a living, familiar Friend. Turn toward Him together, and you shall find that His Spirit subdues the stubborn will, dissolves the frost of estrangement, and builds again the hope and togetherness you long for. Out of weakness you shall be made strong, strong to bear with one another, strong to shield your children from the ruin of a divided home.

For their sakes, therefore, be steadfast. It would be a grievous thing if, while there is forgiveness with God, any soul under your roof should neglect to seek it or to extend it. “There is forgiveness”, there was, there is, there ever will be as long as life lasts. Yet it must be obtained from God through Jesus Christ His Son. Flee to Him, both of you. Let the record of debt be nailed to His cross, and let the cry of your hearts be, “He frankly forgave us all; we cannot but forgive.” May the God of all patience and consolation grant you to be like-minded one toward another, that with one mouth you may glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You seek prayer for forgiveness and renewed love between these two, and that is a godly desire. But know that God does not hear prayers offered from an unforgiving heart. If either of them still clings to resentment, let that be the first thing cast off. It cannot be that one who forgives his neighbor should fail to obtain perfect forgiveness from God, for He is beyond comparison more merciful than we. So if they wish to be forgiven, they must forgive. Let them not merely say "I am sorry" with the lips, but grieve over the wound they have caused one another. If they grieve, they are in earnest. That is the true call upon God.

The Lord Himself bids the one who has been wronged to go to the offender, not to accuse or demand payment, but to tell him his fault privately. This very act is the part of one making excuse for the other, drawing him earnestly toward reconciliation. Oftentimes the one who gave the pain is held in stupor through shame, and the one in health must go to him who is ill. So let each hasten to the other, not waiting for the other to move first. Speak gently of what has been suffered, not to shame but to heal.

Marriage is not a hindrance to virtue, but rather preserves the holiness that comes from faith, if it is used with moderation and not made an excuse for self-seeking. It is a communion of bodies, and in that closeness there is great hope for the lost member to be saved through the other. For the sake of the children, and far more for the sake of their own souls, let them not break what God has joined. Let all worry, anger, and bitterness be laid aside, and let love, hope, and a shared faith enter in. They will be strong if they determine to work through hardship together, not as those who merely fulfill a law, but as those who truly seek the kingdom. Let them use their marriage not only for earthly comfort but as a means to attend upon the Lord, bearing with one another and building a home where peace and holiness dwell. So let them pray, and let their prayer be joined with action. Then they shall find the mercy they seek.
