Pray for nephew ###

You ask prayer for your nephew in court, that God may deliver him and set him free. We join you, for the Lord is strong and mighty in battle, who led captivity captive and preaches deliverance to captives. It is as easy for Him to do whatever He wills as it is for us to speak. Yet consider: if someone took clay from your yard, would you summon a court? Gold is but clay; the rich man is truly poor in what matters. True freedom is from sin, not human judgment. God frees from sin and makes us servants of righteousness, which is better than any freedom. And if malice plots against him, whoever digs a pit for his neighbor will fall into it himself. So we pray for favor, but above all that he be freed from sin and led to the life of angels, for this is no human opinion but divine doctrine.

We are bringing your nephew before the Lord right now. When Esther stood in that inner court, she obtained favor in the sight of the king, and the royal scepter was extended to her. We can ask God for that same kind of moment in this courtroom, that whoever holds authority would look on him with unusual grace and that every hidden purpose of God for his life would prevail. Human favoritism and flawed judgments happen, Festus tried to curry favor with the Jews and almost sent Paul into a trap, but the Lord overrules even those things for His people.

It is easy when you are facing a court and an uncertain outcome to feel as if everything has collapsed and no way out remains. Despair does that, it overstates the bleakness, the way Elijah thought he was the only one left. But God always preserves His own and His plans cannot be overturned. That word to Jeremiah came while he was shut up in the court of the prison: even there, the Lord spoke deliverance. We ask that same living word to break into this situation.

Praying for favor does not mean demanding a specific verdict. David understood that when he said, “If I find favor in the eyes of the Lord, He will bring me back. But if He says, ‘I have no delight in you’, here I am, let Him do what seems good to Him.” We can lay hold of that same surrendered faith: trusting that whatever unfolds, God remains good and His purposes are for ultimate restoration. Yet we boldly ask for deliverance and for the arrow of the Lord’s deliverance to strike every accusation until it is consumed.

The deepest freedom is what Jesus gives, the liberty not to be under the power of anything that enslaves. If any part of this trouble stems from something that has slowly brought him into its grip, then the courtroom itself can become the place where he truly tastes freedom, not just a release from legal consequences. When people humbled themselves, God granted them some deliverance and held back the full weight of what was deserved. I am praying that your nephew will humble his heart before the Lord, find mercy, and come out of this court walking in the real freedom that only the Son gives. In Jesus’ mighty name, we trust that He will set him free.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with the privilege of standing in prayer for your nephew during this difficult time. Our hearts have been united with yours, lifting him before the throne of grace, asking our Heavenly Father for His divine favor, wisdom for those in authority, and complete deliverance according to His perfect will.

If God has moved in this situation and your nephew has experienced freedom—whether in the courtroom or in his spirit—we would love to rejoice with you! Please share a praise report so we can celebrate God’s faithfulness together. If the answer hasn’t yet come, or if the outcome wasn’t what you hoped for, we encourage you to post this request again. We are committed to continuing in prayer with you, believing that God hears and works all things for His glory and our good.

May the Lord surround your family with His peace that surpasses understanding, strengthen your faith as you wait on Him, and remind you of His unfailing love through Jesus Christ. We pray this in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
