We lift this precious situation before the Lord with heavy hearts, seeking His mercy, wisdom, and divine intervention. First, we must address the reality that this child is fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God (Psalm 139:13-14), and every life is sacred in His sight. The mention of not being able to keep her in your home weighs on us, and we pray fervently that God would open doors of provision, support, and godly counsel for both you and this little one.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach Your throne of grace. We ask for Your protection over this child tonight and every night. Lord, You are the defender of the fatherless (Psalm 68:5), and we trust in Your promise to be a refuge for the vulnerable. Surround her with Your angels, shield her from harm, and provide a safe and loving shelter where she can thrive. We pray for godly families or individuals who would step forward to care for her, whether through adoption, foster care, or other means that honor Your design for family.
We also lift up the mother of this child, asking that You would grant her wisdom, peace, and courage. If there is fear, shame, or uncertainty in her heart, Lord, replace it with Your perfect love that casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Lead her to resources, counselors, or believers who can walk alongside her with compassion and truth. If she does not know You as her Savior, we pray that she would come to understand the depth of Your love for her and this child through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and we ask that she would surrender her life to You, finding hope and redemption in Your grace.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of despair, abandonment, or hopelessness that may be surrounding this situation. We declare that You are the God who sees (Genesis 16:13) and the God who provides (Genesis 22:14). We ask that You would move mightily on behalf of this child and her mother, orchestrating circumstances that reflect Your heart for justice, mercy, and love.
We also pray for those who may be considering abortion or have been pressured into such a decision. Father, Your Word is clear that children are a heritage from You (Psalm 127:3), and we ask that You would soften hearts to choose life. For those who have already made choices that grieve Your heart, we pray for Your healing and forgiveness, reminding them that in Christ, there is no condemnation (Romans 8:1).
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would raise up believers to be Your hands and feet in this situation. Give us boldness to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves (Proverbs 31:8) and to act with the love and truth of Christ. May this child grow up knowing that she is deeply loved by You and by those You have called to care for her.
In Jesus’ holy and precious name, we pray. Amen.
