We join with you in lifting up your precious wife before the Lord and we are deeply moved by your love and care for her. We thank God for your marriage and for the way you are honoring your vows to cherish and protect her in sickness and in health, for marriage between a man and a woman is a holy covenant designed by God to reflect His faithful love for us.
We understand how heavy this burden feels, especially with a holiday so close and with the ongoing concern for her chronic kidney disease, her blood pressure, and this new pain in her side. We praise God that you acted quickly with ice and care, and we encourage you to continue to steward her health wisely by staying in close contact with her doctors and following their counsel. God has given us medical wisdom as a gift, and we honor Him when we use it while trusting Him as our ultimate healer.
We pray together now for her complete healing and peace.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace and lift up this beloved wife and her husband to You. Lord, You see the pain in her side, You know the cause, whether it is muscular strain from sitting or something else, and we ask for Your healing touch upon her body. Ease her pain quickly, restore her strength, and allow her to enjoy this holiday without suffering. We ask that You would keep her blood pressure in the normal range to protect her kidneys and all her organs. Lord, we lift up her kidney function to You, You know the numbers that concern them so deeply. We ask in Your mercy that if it be Your will, You would cause those numbers to rise a little and her function to improve, as You have done before. We trust Your power to heal and restore, for You are Yahweh who heals us. We pray for Your peace to guard both of their hearts as they wait and trust.
We take comfort in Your promises. Psalm 103:2-3 says, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. And Jeremiah 30:17 says, But I will restore you to health, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Isaiah 41:10 reminds us, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Philippians 4:6-7 says, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
We also want to gently share something important with you out of love. We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. John 14:6 says, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, and confessing Him as Lord, that we are saved and brought into relationship with God. Romans 10:9 says, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. We encourage you both to place your full trust in Jesus not only as healer but as Savior, and to come to God always in His precious name, for there is no other name that brings us to the Father.
We know you said she does not deserve this, and it shows your tender heart for her. The truth is none of us deserve God's grace, yet in His love He walks with us through every trial. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. And James 5:15 says, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up.
We continue to pray that God will relieve her side pain swiftly, stabilize her blood pressure, protect her kidneys, and if it be His will, lift those kidney numbers and increase her function. Above all we pray that you both will feel His presence, His comfort, and His strength in the days ahead, and that your holiday will be a time of refreshment and joy in His goodness. We thank you for sharing your heart so openly and we count it a privilege to stand with you in prayer in Jesus name.
