We lift up your son before the Lord, knowing that He cares deeply about every detail of our lives, including our studies and preparations. The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* We pray that your son will trust in the Lord’s guidance as he prepares for his O-level Chinese exam, seeking wisdom from above rather than relying solely on his own strength.
We also recall Proverbs 16:3, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* Let us pray that your son will commit his studies to the Lord, diligently revising and managing his time wisely. May he find focus and clarity as he prepares, remembering that Colossians 3:23 encourages us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men."* His efforts are seen by God, and we ask that the Lord will bless the work of his hands.
However, we must also remind you that while we pray for success, our ultimate hope is not in academic achievement but in Christ alone. If your son does not yet know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, we urge you to share the Gospel with him, for there is no greater success than eternal life in Him. As it is written in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* It is only through faith in Jesus that we have access to the Father and can approach Him in prayer. If your son has not yet surrendered his life to Christ, we pray that this season of preparation will also be a time of spiritual awakening for him.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this son who is preparing for his O-level Chinese exam. Lord, we ask that You grant him wisdom, understanding, and retention as he studies. Help him to manage his time well, balancing rest and revision so that he may be fully prepared. Remove any distractions or anxieties that may hinder his focus, and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
We pray that You will guide his mind and recall during the exam, allowing him to answer with clarity and confidence. May he glorify You in his efforts, remembering that all good gifts come from You. Father, if it is Your will, grant him success in this exam, not for his own pride but so that he may use his knowledge and abilities to serve You and others.
Most importantly, Lord, we pray for his heart. If he does not yet know You, we ask that You draw him to Yourself during this time. Open his eyes to see that Jesus is the only way to salvation, the only name by which we can be saved. May he place his faith in Christ alone, finding his identity and worth in You rather than in academic achievements.
We rebuked any spirit of fear, distraction, or discouragement that may try to hinder him. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we declare that his mind will be sharp, his heart will be at peace, and his efforts will be blessed. We trust in Your perfect will for his life, knowing that You have a plan and a purpose for him.
In Jesus’ precious and holy name, we pray. Amen.
