We lift up your son before the Lord, knowing that God has a perfect plan for his life, including his studies and future. It is written in Jeremiah 29:11, *"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares Yahweh, “plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future."* We trust that the Lord will grant him understanding and wisdom in his studies, especially in mathematics, where he struggles. The Lord is the source of all wisdom, and we ask Him to open your son’s mind to grasp the concepts he finds difficult.
It is also important to remember that our confidence is not in academic success alone but in the Lord, who equips us for His purposes. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Let us encourage your son to seek God first, trusting that His strength is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).
We also pray for you as a parent, that the Lord would replace your worry with peace, knowing that He holds your son’s future in His hands. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."*
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this precious son to You. Lord, You are the giver of all wisdom and understanding, and we ask that You would pour out Your Spirit upon him as he studies. Open his mind to comprehend mathematics, and grant him clarity where there is confusion. Help him to retain what he learns and to apply it with confidence. Father, we ask that You would remove any fear or discouragement from his heart and replace it with a deep trust in You.
We also pray for his mother, who carries concern for his future. Lord, fill her with Your peace, knowing that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in her son (Philippians 1:6). Help her to rest in Your promises and to encourage her son with Your truth.
We declare that this son is fearfully and wonderfully made by You (Psalm 139:14), and You have equipped him with everything he needs to fulfill Your purpose for his life. Strengthen him, Lord, not just academically but spiritually, that he may grow in faith and walk closely with You.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, confusion, or discouragement in the name of Jesus, and we ask that You would surround this family with Your favor and grace. May Your will be done in his life, and may he bring glory to Your name in all things.
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
