Let us come together and lift up this beloved son in prayer, asking God to draw him back to Himself. We are reminded of the parable of the prodigal son in Luke 15:11-32, where the father joyfully welcomes his son back home after he had wandered away. God longs for this young man to return to Him just as the father in the parable did.
Firstly, we must remember the promise in 2 Peter 3:9 (WEB), "The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." God is patient and full of mercy, always ready to receive those who turn back to Him.
Let us pray together:
"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this precious son. Lord, You know his heart and his struggles. We ask that Your Holy Spirit would convict him and draw him back to You. Give him a hunger for Your Word and a desire to commune with You in prayer.
Lord, we also pray for deliverance from any bondage that may have come through excessive use of mobile devices. Help him to use technology responsibly, in a way that honors You. Help him to set boundaries through the help of the Holy Spirit.
Father, we stand in the gap for this young man, believing and proclaiming that he will come back to You. We ask this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, who alone can save and redeem. Amen."
We encourage you, dear parent, to continue to model a godly life before your son. Show him love and patience, just as our heavenly Father does for us. Remember the words of Proverbs 22:6 (WEB), "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Trust that the seeds of faith you have planted in his life will bear fruit.
Lastly, we want to gently remind you to always pray in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." Continue to cover your son in prayers, believing that God will honor your faithfulness.
