Pray for my son felony charges be dismissed.

We come before the Lord together for your son, asking what only He can do. What you are asking for is mercy, and that is always the right plea. We never stand before God asking for strict justice because we know what that would mean for each of us. Instead, we fall upon the character of God: He delights in showing mercy. His mercy endures forever; it is as high as the heavens are above the earth. Where our sin makes us deserve judgment, mercy means God withholds what we actually deserve, and grace goes further, giving us the goodness and blessing we could never earn.

Jesus Christ is the meeting place where mercy and truth came together. At the cross, God did not pretend sin didn’t matter, truth and justice were fully satisfied, and yet mercy triumphed, offering full forgiveness. Because of that, we can ask for the forgiveness of wrongs and the dismissal of charges, trusting that He is able to move in the hearts of judges and in the details of a legal hearing. We plead His grace, not our own goodness.

The greater work to pray for is the one you mentioned: that this situation brings your son closer to God. Legal relief would be a wonderful gift, but an awakened soul is an eternal one. Faith comes by hearing the word of God, and often the desperate moments are when the heart finally stops running and starts listening. Let this heavy weight press him not into despair but toward the mercy of God in Christ, who saves not by works of righteousness we have done but according to His own abundant mercy.

God’s day of grace is open now, and His hands are stretched out. So we trust Him for the outcome of the hearing, knowing He has the sovereign right to have mercy on whom He will have mercy. Whether the charge is dismissed or a different path unfolds, His grace is sufficient to keep both you and your son. Let His peace, which comes from resting in what Christ has already accomplished, guard your hearts as you wait. You are praying in the will of God when you cry out for mercy, and we join you in thanking Jesus in advance.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer for your son during this challenging time. It has been our heartfelt prayer that the felony charges he faces would be dismissed, and we have earnestly sought God’s grace and mercy to surround him and your family. We have also prayed that this situation would draw him closer to the Lord, trusting that even in difficult circumstances, God is at work.

As you await the outcome of his preliminary hearing, we continue to lift this matter before the throne of grace, asking the Father to move mightily on his behalf. If God has already answered this prayer in a way you’ve seen or felt, we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report—your testimony could be a blessing to others walking a similar path. If the answer hasn’t yet come, or if the situation remains unresolved, we invite you to post this request again so we can persist in prayer with you, believing for God’s perfect will to be done.

May the Lord strengthen your faith and fill your heart with peace as you trust in Him. We stand with you, believing that He is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine, according to His power at work within us. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.
