Pray for my mother's health and protection

I ask yall to please pray for my mother ###. She hasn't been feeling well with her health and needs prayers. Also I want her to stop smoking cigarettes too. I ask for prayers to help her get help for the health issues she has and doesn't know what's wrong and also help her be healed and to stop smoking cigarettes. I want my mom to live a long life. We join you in lifting up your mother before the Lord and we thank you for your love and honor for her, for this is pleasing to God. We are praying for her health, for protection, and for healing where she has not been feeling well and does not yet know what is wrong.

We are reminded of God's heart to heal and to protect His children. We hold onto the promise that He forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases in Psalm 103:3 and that He says, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh in Jeremiah 30:17. We also claim His protection over her, for He will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways in Psalm 91:11. We pray that the Lord will guide her to the right doctors and help she needs, give wisdom to those caring for her, and reveal what is causing her to feel unwell so she can receive proper treatment. We also pray for your desire for her to live a long life, and we trust that as we honor our parents it is well with us, and we pray the Lord will grant her many more years to be a blessing to you and your family.

We also join you in praying for her to be delivered from smoking cigarettes. Our bodies are not our own, for we are taught, Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. Smoking harms the temple God has given us and we know it can greatly affect health and length of days. We pray that God will give her a deep desire to quit, strength to overcome the addiction, and peace to replace any stress or habit that keeps her bound to it. We encourage you to lovingly support her, to encourage her to seek medical help and practical resources to quit, and to speak truth to her in love about how much she is valued and how God wants her to care for her body.

We noticed your request asked for God’s blessing but did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why this is so important. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me in John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12. It is because Jesus died for our sins and rose again that our prayers are heard. If we have not already placed our trust in Him, we can call upon His name in faith, confess our sins, and receive forgiveness and eternal life.

We now pray together for your mother.

Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear mother to You. We ask for Your healing hand upon her body, for You to touch what is not well, to reveal what is wrong, and to restore her health according to Your will. Lead her to the right help and give her doctors wisdom and discernment. Place Your angels around her and keep her in Your protection day and night. Lord, we ask You to deliver her from the bondage of smoking, to break the craving and the habit, to give her strength and resolve to quit and to fill her with Your peace and comfort. Grant her a long and fruitful life that she may see Your goodness and give You glory. Draw her closer to You and draw this family closer to You as well. We pray all these things in the mighty and saving name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray without ceasing for her, for The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective in James 5:16. Keep encouraging her to seek medical care, keep speaking life and hope over her, and trust that God hears and answers according to His perfect love and wisdom.

If she does not already have a doctor she sees regularly, you could offer to help her make an appointment, go with her, and write down what she has been feeling and when, so the doctor has a clear picture. You can also ask the doctor about trusted resources for quitting smoking. We know from many who have tried that smoking is not just a habit but a strong addiction, and most people need support and a plan and time to quit. Your steady encouragement without pressure can mean a lot as she considers next steps.

We are praying for her with you, and we also encourage her to keep following up with a medical professional alongside prayer.

Father, we lift this mother to You and ask for Your protection over her health. Give her wisdom and access to good care, give her doctors clarity as they look for what is wrong, and give her strength and support if she takes steps to stop smoking. Comfort her and her child who loves her so much, and guide them each day. In Jesus' name, amen.

Heavenly Father, we lift up this mother to You. You are her healer, for *"I am the Lord who heals you"* (**Exodus 15:26**). Guide her to the help she needs and restore her body. Give her strength to overcome her smoking habit, for *"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me"* (**Philippians 4:13**). Grant her a long and healthy life, we pray.

Your burden for your mother has been heard and we join you in carrying it to the throne of grace. We thank God for the love you show for her and for your desire to see her well, protected and delivered from that which harms her.

We are reminded that there is one great Physician who lays His hands upon men and they are restored, and that Jesus Himself is the Tree of Life. His fruit is sweet and nourishing and even His leaves are full of healing virtue. There is one sacred Fountain opened on Calvary and to wash therein is health. We do well to seek help for bodily diseases and to ask for skillful care, yet we know that all true healing comes from Christ. Pardon and healing are in His hand, and when the Sun of Righteousness rises upon His people there is healing in His wings. He is able to heal the body and to keep the soul in perpetual health until the glory life begins.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ our only Savior, we lift up this dear mother before You. You know her frame and her weakness and the cause of her illness which is yet unknown. We ask You to grant wisdom to those who seek to help her, that what is wrong may be discerned and that You would grant healing according to Your mercy and will. Lay Your hand upon her and restore her. We ask also for deliverance from cigarettes. Grant her both the desire and the strength to forsake smoking and to be set free from its bondage, that her body which You have made may be strengthened and preserved. We ask for Your protection over her each day and that You would prolong her life as it seems good in Your sight. Above all we ask that she may know the forgiveness of sins through Christ alone, for that is the root of all lasting health, and that she may walk in newness of life to Your glory. Keep her and all who love her in Your gracious care. Amen.

Continue to bring her before the Lord in prayer, encourage her to seek proper medical help without delay, and trust Him who does not despise the smallest faith but tends it and makes it to burn more brightly. He who has begun to heal is able to keep both soul and body until the day when it shall no more be said, I am sick.
