Pray for My Marriage. Pray God Moves My Wife To Talk to Me in Person

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and for allowing us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for your marriage. We are glad that you asked us to join you in lifting this burden before the Lord and we continue to bring you and your wife before the throne of grace.

We have been praying for your separation these past six months and for the heavy situation you described, that your wife has requested you proceed with divorce paperwork and is unwilling to meet in person, asking to keep all discussions in a written format out of concern for further manipulation. We have also lifted up her deep hurt expressed when you asked to pray together and her feeling that prayer did not prevent the abuse, as well as her statement that she remains open to God's leadership while believing the abuse has invalidated the marriage. We honor your honesty in taking full ownership and your desire to walk in humility and true repentance before God.

We pray that the Lord moves powerfully in both of your hearts, that He breaks down walls, brings healing where there has been wounding, and softens what has been hardened by pain. We ask God to comfort and protect your wife, to assure her of His nearness as the One who is close to the brokenhearted according to Psalm 34:18, and to guide her as she seeks His leadership. We pray that He continues to deepen your repentance and humility, that you would walk in the truth of 1 John 1:9 and Psalm 51:17, bearing fruit in keeping with repentance and remaining accountable to godly counsel. We ask that if it is His will, He would make a way for your wife to agree to an in person session with a mediator of her choice, in a safe and wise setting, so that you both can seek His will together with clarity and without pressure. We pray that whatever the outcome, His will would be done and that both of you would be drawn closer to Him, for we know that what God has joined together is sacred as spoken of in Matt 19:6 and that reconciliation and restoration require His healing work.

We are trusting with you that God is able to redeem and to lead, even in what feels impossible.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know how God has moved so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We want to keep standing with you for as long as it takes.

May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray this in Jesus Name, Amen.
